It has a double sided adhesive tape. One side of the tape (I believe it was already attached to part 1) should be attached to the camera lens (and the second side to PART1)

This is Susan of Lensmate. Because the ZS50 and the ZS70 use a smaller lens and the housing is also much smaller this quick change will not fit. Looks like the smaller of the 2 generic Magfilter filter adapter might work, using 37mm filters - but you would need to check with the manufacturer.

No, Part 2, the actual 52mm filter adapter, is an adapter with 52mm threads on the front side and a bayonet mount on the back side. You would screw your 52mm filter to Part 2 then bayonet it to Part 1 which is attached to the end of the cameras lens housing. Since we have to show the product in use in our photos we clarify on the listing, "Kit does not include the camera or filters."
