Great little drone
I will start by saying that I bought this to use with a remote I already had (obviously as the listing is for drone only) and FPV goggles I had from another BetaFPV kit. works great with both. the brushless motors are strong and its very responsive, a little bigger then my other drone but this size is perfect still for flying around the house and heavy enough to handle some outdoor flying. It is worth nothing that I ALMOST returned it as I couldn't figure out how to connect it to my controller (Radiomaster Zorro 4 in 1 with a nano ELRS module) the bind button didn't want to put it into bind mode. but I ended up plugging the controller into a PC and running the elrs management tool and setting a binding string, then setting that same string on the drone in Betaflight. Took a long time on youtube to figure it out as I am pretty new to fpv drones and there wasn't a specific video on the topic. when setting the string also make sure you set the drone and radio to the right frequency so that they will bind up. in betaflight its in the same spot as the name and with EdgeTX (the software on my radio and the BetaFlight Pro radio) frequency can be changed on the profile. but once they were set I turned them both on and they connected like they had been doing it for years. If you are REALLY new I suggest a full kit unless you like to tinker with stuff. But I took the leap and I am glad I did.

After 3 short flights battery cable is breaking!
Cool, fast drone...too bad my battery cable is cracking already! 😞

Good product - But If you are new to Drones in general read first
This was my first FPV experience with a drone. If you also brand new to this then I would suggest buying a KIT (Controller, Drone, Goggles). If you do this, you will likely find that the all the components are ready to be bound and flown. But if you are like me, you might have bought everything separate and if you do that be ready for a crash course on how these things work. If you are technical minded this isn't so bad. Get the betaFlight Configurator, and betaFPV Configurator. Update to ELRS3 for the literadio 3, Use the firmware 4.4.3 in betaflight, configure the controller to use LORA_500MHZ. If any of what I just wrote sounds crazy to you and completely out of touch than maybe buy something different. Otherwise enjoy, it's fun.

5 stars for the Cetus X, BetaFPV & BetaFPV Support!!
I am new to the FPV hobby and I am so happy I've joined at a time when companies like BetaFPV are around with products that enable quick and immediate fun flying with a path to learning Acro! I just love the CETUS X. What a powerful, easy to fly, quality drone. ELRS is the future. Thank you to BetaFPV for an easy on ramp to the best hobby ever! What I love even more is that BetaFPV Support was right by my side when I had challenges with getting my radio and the Cetus X to talk to each other! Not only that, when I had issues with the VTX, they sent me a new one. I've read elsewhere that they leave you hanging when/if you have issues with their products. Not my experience at all. If you're looking for an easy entry into the hobby, on quality products with the right support to get and keep you flying, look no further!! Thank you BetaFPV!

I bought it just out of spite
It's an ok trainer drone, it's not as agile as the meteor75 though.I did notice on launch it loses video signal for a second or so, but once it comes back it's fine. I kinda bought it out of spite as it's the first fpv I bought but also trashed due to my inexperience before and wanted to add it back to my collection again now that I'm more experienced.I'd recommend the air65 over this drone, just get a ELRS radio and batteries.

It's OK. Not great, not terrible...just OK.
Stock, the thing has problems with the VTX overheating (does so very very quickly too). The frame doesn't allow proper airflow to the video transmitter and the stock video antenna is pretty much worthless. You get signal break up at 50' line of sight. The elrs receiver works...but the range is abysmally bad. It uses a single piece of copper wire for the antenna, and it's buried in that awful frame as well. The other problem is how the camera is mounted. It seems like having it be able to tilt is a good idea...until after a couple of flights. In short order the screws that hold the tilt angle loosen up and fall out, so it flops around (which is critically awful in flight). I ended up tranferring all the components to a new 2" frame and it's tolerable now, but even then it's under ppwered and flies like a pig (the new frame is actually lighter than stock). I also replaced the VTX antenna which improv3d it's video range considerably. While the internal components are adequate, the frame is an oven which will cook the parts to death. I do not recommend.

So much fun!
I first had the Cetus pro and decided to upgrade after I got an ELRS controller (Jumper T-pro) and am having a blast! This little thing has lots more power and range. It's turtle mode actually flips the drone unlike my Cetus pro. The Cetus X is a bit larger and feels like it while flying. I haven't gotten the upgraded 550 batteries and am just using the 450's but it still flies awesome! Everything so far has been a blast!

Consistently Sending Broken Products.
I had to change settings in Betaflight to keep the drone from jumping when the throttle was completely off. I got that fixed by disabling airmode, which is suppose to be a feature. I actually loved the way it flies but after flying for a few hours the vtx stopped working. I have another on the way but I already had 2 other new betafpv drones die in a day. These haven't been crashed and I am not new to quads.
