CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide, 6th Edition Hardcover – 16 Feb. 2013

Very good book, i just got my CISSP after 3 months of studying from this only (with 1 year experience in security, and 1 year MSc in security)...written in a friendly manner that you don't get bored of...she uses a lot of examples to help you understand, explains things so well... I don't find things very repetitive, i think she only repeats when there is a good reason to repeat (e.g. something that was mentioned few chapters away, where you are not expected to remember everything)...I think version 7 is out very soon... better to look out for that...The official book (ISC2) is so boring, you can't read two pages of it altogether

This book makes sense out of the Official CBK as it really assists with the explanations for some the terms used and actually relates it to a every day example also comes with a boat load of questions that will really assist you with obtaining your CISSP. Very easy to read.

The book is very comprehensive and cover also things that is not part of the ISC2 exam curriculum.It has got a lot of nice illustrations making it easier to read and understand. MUCH better than the official ISC2 material I received on the training.Great that thorough explanations were added to the answers of the sample questions !The reason I did not give it highest rating is because:- The CD is only for Windows. I have Mac and Linus. Even on Windows it was not working optimally- Only the Cryptography intro video worked on the CD- The book is not recognised by ISC2 as an authoritative source of information according to the instructor on my CISSP training course

I bought the Kindle version of this book so that I could study for the CISSP exam on the go without lugging around the hardback tome which I have at home (5th Edition). Shon covers all elements of the exam in detail, working from basic principles to the nitty-gritty, this means that the concepts are ready to understand. Highly recommended!

Book is fantastic. The Author is amazing. The book references it's own content in a subtle way to help you keep the knowledge in your head. Sorry the Author passed recently xX However, this book is a difficult read, you have to love the subject area, it is a certification it isn't exactly Harry Potter lol Just buy it, for the price you will not regret it. 100% just get it. Anyway :)

using this as a self study guide, despite being new to the IT world it's fairly easy to understand and doesn't leave you feeling confused por drifting off half way through.

The book is regarded as one of the THE definitive study guides for CISSP - its very comprehensive. The main reason I bought it however was for the CD with the Exam Test questions, video tutorials and electronic version of the book. However, I have had 2 copies of the book from Amazon and the CD DOES NOT WORK. So if like me you want the CD, then I would recommend based on my experience that you don't buy it from Amazon.

The definitive book to get you through CISSP exam - Shon knew her stuff and is will be missed by security pros that have been lucky enough to be taught by her.
