Excellent value, very practical bit of kit.
The extendable 3m pole arrived with a brush and a window cleaner/squeegee head - 2 heads total. The pole and the head arrived black cling-wrapped parcel-taped together. It took a bit of unwrapping but survived intact. At first I thought the brush a bit heavy for the length of the pole, but it works really well. You need the length and the density of bristles to give maximum cleaning power. The head and bristles are blue, with a ring of very slightly stiffer bristles surrounding (and therefore to some degree supporting) the softer bristles in the centre. The head is large, which again maximises cleaning effectiveness. The angle of the bristles allows getting into corners pretty well, even way up in the air.I'd say that the head is the correct angle (in relation to the pole). The pole is, as other reviewers have noted, strong enough and light enough to be ergonomic. And yes, the head does have an annoying habit of coming slightly unscrewed. The only way to prevent this in practice is to keep more pressure on the right hand end of the brush, possible on flat weatherboarding but not easy when cleaning complicated shapes (car bodywork, wheels etc). Drilling a small hole in the brush and fitting a self-tapping screw to just catch the pole-thread might be an easy solution to this. The Hozelock connector works very well, only very minimal leakage, remembering that this type of fitting does require an extra push to make it click home, otherwise you get a soaking! Connected to a water supply the water spurts out of the middle of the brush. It does make the brush a bit more unwieldy. If the weather is damp (so the surface isn't constantly drying out) I prefer not to have the hose connected, but instead to dip the head (even on the end of the fully extended pole) into a bucket of water with a bit of detergent in it. Because the head is hollow a short dip fills it, and the water is held for long enough for quite a good bit of scrubbing. Then rinse off with the hose. Probably saves water, too. If the weather is dry a constant supply of water might of course be very useful. The pole tightens easily to any length. The final extension from 2m to 3m using the narrowest portion of the tube does make the pole noticeably more flexible. But this is ever the case, with a camera tripod at full extension, say. Also the brush is great just hand-held for close up work. There's no doubt - this bit of kit is excellent value for money, and things previously just (or quite a long way) out of reach are now getting the clean they need. To get better quality you might need to spend a lot more... and you're still going to have to scrub the dirt away, there's no getting around it! It has now been used to clean areas of painted weatherboarding, several windows, garage doors, and the car. And that's just in two days...a revolution!

Surprisingly good value - just don't expect to stay dry!
Overall Verdict:I wasn't expecting much given the price. I thought of it more as a disposable item for a dirty job but I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality. However, don't expect to stay dry if using the hose attachment.Product Description:The product came packaged in a plastic bag wrapped in tape - so at first look I thought that it confirmed my expectation that this would a be a low quality product (more on this later). The aluminium pole seems pretty sturdy - I was expecting it to be pretty flimsy and so break easily. The pole is extended by unscrewing two grips so that it extends in two sections. The grip is a nice soft foam material that didn't break up in my hand like some foam grips do. The brush is nice and big and has very soft bristles whilst the window pad and squeegee attachment can be easily fitted if needed. A hose can be attached to the bottom to provide a water feed for enhanced cleaning and is a simple push fit if you have a push fit attachment on your hose already. There is also a handy off/on valve to stop/start the water feed. The pole reaches an overall extension of 3M which was more than enough to reach my top floor windows. So far so good...What I liked:I bought this almost as a throw away item to do a dirty job of cleaning the conservatory roof, windows and my son's bedroom window (above the conservatory) where the window cleaners can't reach. The pole and attachments are all pretty sturdy. It was very easy to adjust the length in use and overall it was fairly easy to maneuver around for the jobs I was doing even when extended fully. I really liked the added water feed as it made cleaning easy and quick (more on this later too!). At the end of the job there wasn't any noticeable wear to the pole or attachments so I put it away with the satisfaction of a job well done and a tool that I'd happily use again. What I didn't like:I got absolutely soaked! The water feed leaks terribly - I have a hozelock attachment but still it leaked (see attached pictures). This pretty much makes the on/off valve useless. This basically means that you are constantly getting sprayed with water down your sleeves and over your clothes - luckily it was a warm day. But hey - it did the job quickly and easily leaving me the rest of the day to do something else. Also did I really expect not to get wet holding a water fed brush above my head for a prolonged period???? - I didn't think that through did I?Final thoughts:Actually quite surprised by the quality of this once I got over the fact that I was going to get wet (I would have regardless I think). I'd definitely recommend this on the basis that it cost me £12 with free delivery. It did the job well and I have something I can keep to use again.

Surprisingly good value.
Brilliant bit of kit. The price was so good I was expecting something cheap just to get the windows done after storm Daragh. It’s done all the windows, one big van and the car and sturdy enough to keep doing them in the future.

OK, but will not connect to hose
Fast delivery, received OK and well packed.Big problem is the bottom push-fit hose connector is poorly made, and just will not connect. I'm using a Hozelock connector, so no excuses. To be honest, I'm not particularly bothered, as it would probably have leaked water all over me, and not particularly surprised, as the professional equivalent items are a great deal more money, but I'm still a bit disappointed.Other than that, it's OK. The sponge works well, just dipping it in a bucket of water is easy enough, and it's covered in a fabric mesh which helps it keep it's shape, and hopefully help it last longer. On the back side of the sponge is the rubber scraper blade to wipe off water. Not used the brush attachment yet, but looks fine. Not sure if replacement sponges are available, but I hope they are, as I can't see the sponge lasting for ever.At full extension, it flexes a bit. It's not an issue really and it's easy enough to extend and reduce. Having cleaned difficult-to-reach windows, I got carried away, and started on some plastic facia boards. At the price, and for occasional home use, it's fine, bearing in mind that professional tools are very much more money. Just don't expect to be able to attach a hose, 'cos you won't!
