So-So
Story was good but it felt rushed and too long at the same time. There were a lot of thinks i would have liked to have answers for.Spoilers aheadLike why her wolf is so big, there has to be a reason for it. A backstory of some kind but it wasn't acknowledged. The fact that cadoc was a product of some witch potion wasn't acknowledged either. They didn't explain what the potion actually did. Sure abertha told the story or whatever but it's like she explained how is cadoc different but I'll let it pass because we can use our imagination and common sense here. There are lot of unanswered questions. Like the story has a loophole. But then this a series and even though books can be read as standalones, stories are connected. Killian was mentioned in the book. And there are questions from 1st book too so in the end maybe all will answered but now what there weren't answers, book felt stretched because even though there was so much words, those didn't answer or cleared things. Ending is good. He did grovel a bit. It was a okay read. Not too good not too bad.

Hope the author reads this
Why do I want the author to read this review? Coz I love her and would really want her to understand that it hurts not to give her 5 stars. No. It's not because of lack of scenes. I need story and plot more than scenes. Then, why? Coz I don't need the plots to get dragged with unnecessary details. Who needs 4 pages to know how a woman takes a pregnancy test including how she decides to pee on the stick. And this is just 1 example. The over use of bodily fluids to describe every situation! No the over description of every situation. Why? The story is nice. Why do you want to drag it?

good.
I read it in a day. Very well written. The women in this series are strong. The hero in this one was .. devoted.I would have liked it if he had actually gone all alpha at the end. but he didn’t.

Zero plot and character development
Nothing happens in this book. I kept reading hoping something would happen, but nope. The characters were bland. I wanted to smack the main character for being so passive and a doormat.

Finished it in one sitting!
4 stars!Rejected mates books are my jam and this book proved it why I love this trope so much. I love when the H hurts the h and later grovels. This book was at times very gut wrenching and painful. I cried a bucket when I was reading how the H hurt the h and how much his cruelty broke her.I love how the author made the H redeemable at the end of the book. At the end of the book I loved the hero. This truly shows the author is undoubtedly a great writer. I love how she plays with my emotions making me both sad and happy. While I do love this book a lot, there are a few things that didn't work for me. Namely it being majorly same as book one. The storyline more or less felt the same. The characters too felt like Killian and Una in some way. I am excited for the next book as I feel Mari and Darragh's story would be a bit different.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and a m voluntarily leaving a review.

3.25 stars...
While I loved the first book, this was an ok read for me. It started out great but then too much information about really silly things failed to keep my attention. Idk if it's just me or Cadoc felt like a weaker and more closed off version of Killian & Rosie was a watered down version of Una. Everything felt the same as the first book but the fluffy parts came in very late, that is towards the end of the book. Regardless, Cadoc & Rosie's intimacy gave me butterflies and I just wanted them to have an HEA. I felt like the conflicts wrapped up too quickly and some things were left unanswered. Though I enjoyed reading it and I loved Nia and Rosie's wolf!

Excellent Characters and Plot!
Another excellent read! The innate humour, and friendships in the cliques that is key to the realness of the novel. Not too much 'steam', and not too much cruelty, enough sadness to really feel for the novel's characters!

Original story!
4 🍭🍭🍭🍭I liked the story! It was original in a trope where we expect and basically know what happens and why.I liked the H. He lived and believes certain concepts and he acted accordingly. Heroine was different and I also liked her personality traits.I loved Nia as well!

Angsty Rejected Mate Story You Don’t Want to Miss! #ChefsKiss
First off, let me say I just ordered the paperback version of this book as well, because I’m obsessed with this series and love seeing book one already on my Keeper Shelf! The Heir Apparent’s Rejected Mate is the second rejected mates book Cate C. Wells has written, and it’s just as good as the first! While this story is based in a different pack than the first book, we do get updates on some of our favorite characters from book one. This novel hits all the right notes of the Rejected Mate trope, and adds a little something extra to the mix in the interesting pack dynamics. Introducing the scavengers is a great way to broaden the world Cate has set up and create new and relatable characters that you fall in love with. Everyone loves to root for the underdogs!Cadoc and Rosie go on an obviously romantic journey together in this book, but also a separate journey of self discovery. Rosie is a great FMC and throughout the entire novel, she continues to be lovable and relatable. I love her quiet realization of her own strength and independence and her fierceness in protecting those she loves.Another aspect of the story I really enjoyed was Rosie’s relationship with Nia and her cousin, Bevan. The strong friendships portrayed in this book allowed for a more robust storyline than the usual boy meets girl, boy rejects girl, boy grovels and gets girl back.I can’t wait for a third book, which I hope will be announced soon. I really would like to see more of Darragh, and I’m hoping he gets his own book! Again, great read and I swear…Cate C. Wells is just so amazing!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

always amazing
I’ve read this book SOOOO many times and each time I read it it’s better than the last. I’m not a person who rereads books because I get bored half way through and I already know what’s going to happen, that has NEVER been my issue with this book. The whole series is PHENOMENAL but this book, the second one, HANDS DOWN my favorite. 10/10 would highly recommend and 10/10 will absolutely be reading again.
