I'm happy, routinely getting over 5miles. My prior's are 2.5 miles or so with other vtx's so far.
I am the person watching people fly 15 to 20 miles+ on 5.8ghz and just shake my head. I cannot figure how they do it, but I seem to be improving constantly. With my limited experience 3 years or so flying FPV, I'm always trying to go further, including 1.3 and 2.4ghz vtx's. For me 5.8 is easier, so I use it a lot, and I burn the them up a lot. Even with the antenna connected, they are getting too hot. I'm pleased to say this one with a fan has been a savior for me, I now put fans on most of mine. I have no way to test the output, but I have no reason to believe its less than the stated output of 2w. When I power it up at home, our internet gets overpowered and kicks off. I purchased another after my + experience

Doesnt Work Possible DOA
I got this to add a camera to my rc car for FPV. The transmitter would not turn on. I tried 2 different cables that were provided and nothing. I changed my power source from using the receiver, to plugging into directly into a 7.4v battery, to a 14.8v battery. The transmitter never powered on and nor did the fan. I'm also not a fan that the dip switches to change some settings are under the heat sinks which are covered by what looks like warranty stickers over the screws. This is going back and Im trying something else that is less fishy in my opinion.

Works, but does not match description
This is a goofy VTX. While yes it does indeed work and seem to work pretty well in terms of delivering video, it does not have the features outlined in the listing.I'm using this in a ground vehicle and specifically wanted it because it is shown to have PWM adjustable power output - it does not have PWM adjustable power output. I more or less have to guess what the power levels are based on how much heat the unit produces. I think green is full power, then blue, then red, and when the LED is off it basically emits no power at all.The VTX does not have dip switches as shown in the listing. You press and hold the channel button, and tap the channel button to change band/channel, but from the best I can tell, it does not change in terms of Band A, Channel 1,2,3, etc. It seems to be all over the place or follow the actual frequency sequentially. So you can either pick a random setting and have your VRX find it, or tune your VRX to the frequency you want and hit buttons until you finally set the VTX to the frequency you're going to use.Thankfully the last saved setting is what comes up when power is disconnected and re-applied.Basically there's Zero refinement in terms of usability. It's not pleasant to use, nor inviting, nor attractive. But it works! It's dirt-cheap, simple, and spits out a decent image that's as good or better, with measurably (as good or better) range than a VTX 2-3 times the cost. We'll see how it holds up. I've only used it for about a half hour. I'm using a much larger external fan to hopefully keep it alive as long as possible.

Great so far
I will be using this later this month for a project I'm working on. Currently, the product powers up, and lights and menu respond as explained on the Amazon instructions read. Both power and channel. However, the button will lock after the device runs for a bit and will only allow adjustment for a few min right after boot up. The device also holds the settings and will boot back to the last config. Seems like a great device and smart design. will update more later. No documents with device only the instructions on this page that are simple and clear to me. Did come with a few cables for different configurations.

Zero DOCUMENTATION!!
Received unit without any documentation. Not even a web address to get connection diagram. No idea how to change channels. Very poor.

Works well!
The only problem is the fan bearings squeal a bit. Pretty common with these small chinese fans these days, kind of hit and miss on the quality, I got a defective one but I plan to upgrade the fan vs returning it for a refund. The rest of the unit seems very good. If you build drones you should understand the fan is a wear item. It's an easy swap.73
