The media could not be loaded. Up til now I've only ever bought the (much more expensive) Biorb filters.. I can safely say I will definitely never go back!I waited a few weeks before reviewing so i could see how well the new filter compared. Water is still crystal clear and my goldfish Graham seems pretty happy with his lot in life. 👍I know some complain that you have to put the stones in yourself and reuse the plastic casing that the filter goes in, (Biorb filter comes with new case and you bin the old one) but it literally takes 2 minutes, it's less plastic waste and you're saving yourself a lot of money. What's not to love? ❤

It’s a great cost effective alternative however the filter foam is smaller than biorbs and creates a 0.5cm gap around the edge. One of my fish managed to swim against the flow and get caught in the gap where it died. I know it’s the fishes fault but I never had that with the biorb filters.

Amazing quality

was a little sceptical on ordering these,as I have only ever used official bio orb accessories.Much to my surprise they are a very economical alternative.They do take a little more time to install than the pre sealed originals,and you do need to clean the plastic holder that the carbon/sponge sits in(I have found wam water with NO soap/detergents quite effective)but this takes no more than 2/3minutes and the 70% saving more than makes up for this.More importantly than cost is water quality and I am pleased to say that the results are at least as good as the original filter,(maybe coincidence but my tropical fish are breeding more now!!)have been doing the water/filter change every 4weeks and the results have been excellent,Highly Recommend .

We purchased these as a replacement for our original Biorb filter. Visually there is absolutely no difference between these and the genuine filters, the substrate is also virtually identical; I don’t think you’d tell them apart. We have bought two packs now as we were so impressed with the first, they work exactly as they are meant to and we have seen no difference in the performance of the filter. They are great value and we definitely recommend.
