AMPCOM CAT7 Inline Coupler RJ45 STP Keystone Jack, Shielded Female to Female Feedthrough Ethernet Module- 12 Pack

Prior to purchasing the Ampcom coupler I purchased the Ugreen “cat6” coupler from Amazon (the black plastic one that Amazon recommends) and for the past year I had been experiencing below Gigabit speeds which I incorrectly blamed on my service provider. Once I upgraded to 2.5Gb service I was still receiving below gigabit speeds and it was then that I realized the Ugreen coupler might be the issue. I ordered this Ampcom coupler and like magic my router was pulling in 2.5Gb (up from 800mb with the Ugreen). The moral of the story, if you absolutely need a coupler and have anything higher than 1Gb speeds I highly recommend the Ampcom. I can confirm that it truly is multi-gig compatible and it’s worked perfectly since I got it.

I was worried when I purchased (because there's 3 other "main" "off-brands") that it may not hit the cat 7 speeds. Using my 2.5gbps intel cards on OpnSense & 2.5 supported desktop, I can confirm it fully hits the 2.5 rate.The fit is snug, "snap"'s right in solidly. I like these very much.Got a handful so I could wire up my attic, and haven't had any issues with them sitting up there in hot Texas weather. Good quality.

These are an excellent alternative to those plastic keystone couplers. They are strong and look so much better.

Replace for wall plates Cat5 Jack, It is good for new Cat8 cable.

I bought these based on generally favorable reviews here. However, I found them to be just a little off on the side ears and so they didn’t go into the wall plate deep enough for the front latch to catch on the lip it is supposed to. Off by probably less than a tenth of a millimeter but just enough to not snap in. I tried these on a couple of different wall plate brands and same result. I ordered some of the iWillink branded ones and they snapped right in.
