Rottner Mailbox - Black - Including mounting Material - with Mechanical Mail notifier - Intended for Installation on a Stand.

This is a well made "American" (made by a German company) style post box that so far has withstood the weather here in Scotland and keeps the mail dry. Only downside is the Scottish posties are so unused to it that the sometimes fold my parcels (YES! PARCELS!!!) in half to fit them inside. I recommend buying a weatherproof plastic parcel box for underneath to avoid this - otherwise you're gonna have a bad time... Also the lid doesn't close very well, you have to bend the closing bit a little to make it tight, which takes 2 seconds, then it closees tightly, which is nothing. Can't mark them down for that. Metal bends very easily so I was happy to do that myself.The reason we bought this box and were happy to pay a bit more was we didn't want "US POST" printed on the side because we live in Scotland. The screws it comes with are NOT galvanised, make sure you get some that are from B&Q!Side note: do not buy the pole made by the same company, it has terrible reviews. We bought the Sterling MB23BK US Steel Stand Mailbox - black, Large, but had to then drill our own holes into the box with a metal drill to make it fit. Takes a bit of finesse to make it fit, but if you're handy with a drill (or have a friend who can do it) then it should be no problem.

Prompt delivery. Didn't buy post but screwed a piece of heavy plywood to top of fence strainer post then attached mailbox to plywood therefore saving money, simple job. Pleased with box, watertight and good finish.

This post box is a really good sturdy item. It fitted onto a strong post and looks amazing.it is great with the arrow to indicate mail delivered. Big enough to take A4 envelopes and small parcels with them being squashed.Great purchase.

3 identical replacements were sent - all didn’t close properly - very poor quality

I love this good quality US postbox.We bought it with the stand, but had to return the first stand we were sent and obtain a replacement as it didn't fit. The replacement stand is also a little wobbly. Note, you will need to put the stand in concrete, so be prepared for a little DIY. Also, UK postmen/women aren't so keen on raising the 'flag' to indicate they've dropped your post off.

Great US mail box just what we've been looking for.Only four not five as I thought post required with it was a little on the dear side and most people will probably need to purchase post (stand).

Un po difficoltoso il montaggio ma nell'insieme prodotto ottimo. Il postino non ha ancora imparato che qwuando metteposta deve abbassare la bandierina........ma spero che con il tempo ci arrivi
