An actual classic in the making!
I have to add to my review below, the fact that this pedal affected my tone slightly even in the true bypass mode, a deal breaker for me. I'm using this to record with, so I only add it in to my pedal chain when I need it now...Every now and then a classic pedal sound appears, the MXR Phase 90 script for instance. Many try to copy or enhance these sounds but then they don't quite hit the mark.I've not tried the pedal this pedal is supposedly based on, but then I have tried a few flangers. Too many actually, I was becoming sceptical of ever finding one I can work with. It's going to take a while to figure out the controls, forget what's written on them, that makes no sense to me at least? Each control affects the tone in a certain way, and each control affects the others. The only one that does what it says is the speed knob. Well, maybe also the regen. But then delay and width are not so defined in my hearing yet? They affect the tone but I can't figure out what they are actually doing? It's easy to dial up a good tone, but it will take a while to find the sweet spots, I'm starting out via getting use to each knob, getting the range into my head. But then yes when you tweak one it affects the others so the blend will take time to figure out, I guess it will come naturally in time, with fun experimenting. This is the best I've tried so far, it's the sound I've been looking for, I'm happy, not looking for anything possibly better now!!!If this pedal had a channel scroll, so you could scroll through channels like with the Empress Nebulus, and better click switches. It would be a GREAT pedal. There's quite a few good sounds in that box, it would be nice to scroll through them.I had a problem with my delivery, mine came from Amazon USA, they used a different courier who missed my first delivery, then where an hour late the next day, it showed up at 10 pm.Read the reviews! It's a great pedal....I think it will stand as a classic!

JOYO Classic Flanger
The JOYO guitar effects pedals represent ridiculous value for money, but may suffer from the typical corner cutting in final assembly and quality control I have found in other items of low cost Chinese manufacture. When I received my Classic Flanger it exhibited no flanging effect at all. The bypass switch worked, the LED indicator came on, but all I got was straight through clean signal. I made the decision to open the pedal up rather than return it, knowing full well this would void any warranty.Three of the backplate screws came out with no trouble, the forth would not budge because the thread was stripped. I eventually removed it and after running a tap down the hole it now screws in and out just fine. With the back off and the PCB removed (many of the jack socket nuts and pot fixing nuts were a bit on the loose side) I could see all four pins along one side of the MN3207 BBD chip were out of their PCB solder pad holes and just barely resting on the top surface of the PCB. I cleaned the solder out of those holes, carefully bent the IC pins back into the holes, pushed it down and re-soldered the four pins. Re-assembled the pedal now works perfectly producing a good range of thick and detailed flanging sounds. There is one other aspect of the assembly I did not like and that concerns probably the one area of hand soldering in the product. There is a rather tacky looking section of ribbon cable that connects the main PCB to a small PCB on the foot switch. At either end this had been stripped back quite a long way and the quite delicate stranded wires just tacked down rather untidily with solder onto the solder pads at either end, rather than passed through the holes in the pads and then soldered. This ribbon cable is right next to the battery and could easily be pushed on while changing the battery, which could possibly snap one of the ribbon connections.Externally this product looks well made and most of the components are of high quality. Having repaired it, it now works very well. It is a shame that in my case the JOYO Classic Flanger was let down by poor attention to detail.

Brilliant
Great sounds, not over the top like some pedals, subtle yet nice sound quality.

The Joy(o) of Flanging
I was a lil suspicious this wouldn't be any good as it was so cheap. Read a few reviews, all pretty positive so took a risk.I'm not planning to gig it, just bedroom recording, but it feels really solid and sturdy.Looks great, chunky, solidly built. Looks quite cool.So does it flange?... yes, it flanges! You can get those Siouxsie and the Banshees tones, the sweeping long flanges, wild feedbacky flangey noises and some really subtle colourings to your sounds. How long it'll last I don't know, but for bedroom use feels like it's gonna be pretty reliable. If you don't plan to use batteries you'll need to by a standard 9v adapter (about a fiver most places)I'm giving it 5 stars. It's brilliant value at £29.99. Sounds awesome (not noisy at all unless you dial in the crazy feedbacky noises) and feels really solid.

Fun tool if you like this sort of thing
Fun tool if you like this sort of thing. I watched some YouTube videos to assist in ways of using it, worth doing as you can use it as a sort of chorus as well as the obvious swooshing. Well built and works great for the money. The one very small criticism would be the included 9v battery which expired very quickly, causing the pedal to squeal and hum. I replaced it with a good battery and all was great again. A benefit would be a description of the control names when compared with other pedals, everyone seems to name them differently.

Good price but continues to slightly colour your bypassed signal.
Sounds good and feels relatively well made for the price. I don't know if mine was faulty, but if I turned my amp up loud enough, I was able to hear that the effect was still being applied to my guitar's signal (at a much reduced volume compared to when the pedal is on) when the pedal was bypassed, and the light was off. I stopped using it for this reason.

Joyo Classic Flanger
Good value. It is very cheap and delivers some classic flanger tones with lots of parameters to adjust for a beginner pedal. The footswitch, however, is a bit noisy and clicks when you stomp it. You can get crazy sounds by pushing it into self-oscillation.
