Amsterdam DVD

I bought Amsterdam because I was working my way through the back catalogue of Christain Bale, after reading a lot of reviews I wasn't expecting much. However I was greatly surprised how much I enjoyed it. I don't want to spoil the story which was a comic caper. The cast were amazing with stand out performances from the three main leads. Would definitely recommend and plan to re watch.

"Too oddball" decided audiences, but now I've finally seen Amsterdam that's precisely what I love about it. It's an oddball caper movie with a great cast. Margot Robbie in particular hasn't been this down to earth in a long time - and she's still playing an eccentric!You'll either love these characters or they'll annoy the heck out of you. For me it's the former.

I thoroughly enjoyed this masterclass of character acting and wonderful, creative direction and cinematic design. Brilliantly bonkers, but having it's roots in real-life events and situations (such as women taking artistic inspiration from WW1), the film enjoys cameo roles from a range of terrific 'name' actors (Robert de Niro and the awesome Michael Shannon, to name just two), as well as featuring just delightful performances from Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington as the main protagonists. A fantastic script is laced with cheeky humour, which is also emanated in the physical mannerisms of the characters - truly magical in parts.

Only got this cause margo robbie was in it not one of her best films

I laughed so much I bought the movie. These actors are what movies are about. For me, I laughed so hard ive watched it multiple times.

Just stumbled on this, it's a great film with an awful lot of well-known actors in it, really well done and an enjoyable watch. Only caveat, if you're racist you'll hate it!

I saw it at my local Odeon and along with the rest of the audience who seemed ha to be watching, I loved itand thought Christian Bale's performance was great His character even comes with with a touch of Columbo in the way he played the role... (In my opinion,that is).Attitudes to race etc have thankfully changed a lot for the better since the days featured in Amsterdam. I am just about to get my prime order in now.

Disappointing OK movie. Fast delivery.
