i love the versatility of the novas, but the original earpads are crazy thin. these are amazing, very comfortable, and hug your ears instead of sitting on them.only downside is glasses kind of hurt while wearing this, rip

Brought these as originals were hurting ears after awile. These are slightly firmer and defiantly better. Not a perfect cure but enough to notice a positive difference. In other words. Happy with purchase and would recommend and would buy again.

I'm going to start by saying that these Wicked Cushion earpads good, solid products. They're NOT cheaply made, they're actually well-made products that are what they advertise. When you first put them on, you'll feel the cooling gel in it too, so it's clearly a company that's doing what they're promising to do. The quick, TL;DR is that I recommend them.HOWEVER, you, as the potential buyer need to be aware of a few things:First off, they ARE thicker than the original pads, but only by few millimeters. It's not much, but, the difference is that WC earpads are thicker, but they compresses less so it somewhat maintains the depths that the original earpads will not. So, for my ears, it works. My ears still technically will touch the inner sides of the earpads, but they will not be folded or be in a position where it'll start hurting after an hour. The foam on the WC earpads will maintain it's thickness better than the SS (SteelSeries) ones will. For you, it will be YMMV.For those claiming that this will wildly change the sound profile is misleading at best. Obviously, you are only changing out the earpads that surround the driver of your headset. Your sound in itself will not change. What WILL change, is how the sound is delivered to you. Because WC ones have leatherette material on the inner and outer edges of the earpads, they will isolate the sound "in the earpads" better than the original ones will. The SS ones are almost all fabric (except half-leatherette on the inside) so the sound will "leak" more than the WC ones will. Obviously, don't expect construction-earmuff levels of sound isolation, but these do do a better job in that department than the original ones will. If you're getting these expecting a whole new soundstage or sound profile, then don't because you'll be disappointed.I also want to address the smaller "opening" of the earpads themselves. It is true. It looks smaller than the original one's will, but if you fit the WC earpads in correctly and angle the headset at the correct position, it will fit just fine. And again, you have to remember that because WC earpads maintain their depth better than the original ones will, your ears will still have more room overall compared to the SS ones that come with the headset. There's a shape difference as well - the original ones are more "egg" shaped where it's oblong with the tighter curvature on the top than bottom whereas the WC ones are more just oblong. Taking all of this into account, the overall comfort will be a huge YMMV, so test them out for your use case.Other miscellaneous stuff - cooling gel is present as mentioned, but they're almost always a gimmick than a feature imho. It's cool when you first put them on, but in about 10 min. that "cooling" feeling is gone and it just feels like any other earpads. Because they're going to be stuck to your head, with nowhere else to really output the heat (because the other side is plastic where the drivers are), they're not going to stay cool for hours on end. The level of temps you feel by your head/ears with WC won't be that much more different than the all-fabric ones that come with SS. The installation, is very easy and took about 5 min. at most. You can watch their video which lays out the steps very well.So, overall, with the $38-$50 price tag (as of Mar. 2023), are these worth it? I definitely think the price is a bit steep for what you get. I like the product, it works great for me and my ears where it doesn't hurt after long usage, and it offers nice "sound isolation" (in quotations because it's not true sound isolation) for my use case where I can enjoy both gaming and music-listening. But for you, whether the expensive price justifies your comfort level/sound delivery/cooling gel, etc. will be up to you to decide. I hope this helps with your buying decision.

Very comfortable & easy to fit on my Arctis Nova Pro wired headset.The cooling gel is there, I can feel it every so often when I put them on, but it's subtle & not an irritant.They're also made well, they're breathable so won't sweat as much after prolonged use & for the money I feel it was worth the price, I don't see these wearing out any time soon.Would definitely recommend these.

I bought these for my Arctis Nova 7x wireless and it’s a waste of money. The size is smaller than the original ones. If your ear are close to touching white the original these won’t work for you, your ears will be squashed. The retro design don’t continue so you see the design then just white leather that you see clearly and it’s not like the picture the picture the retro design is the whole piece don’t stop and just plain white. The shape is completely different than the original so with my Head set it’s bigger on top and smaller on bottom the original ear cups are shaped that way obviously but for some reason they decided to make it shaped like a egg small top and small bottom so it don’t even fit properly on the head set. For $40 it’s a waste of money. I should of retired them but I thought I would get use to it maybe they will stretch out and the retro design is just cosmetic so I hoped it would get better if I broke them in. I know i was dumb but I just hoped for the best. On top of that the cooling gel is worse as soon as it get warm it stays hot and keeps getting hotter actually hotter than the original. They need to make these the same shape as the Arctis pro 7x wire less also keep ot the same as picture how the retro design don’t stop and need to make the inside the same shape as original not shaped small on top and small on Morton going against the actual design of the head set. If I could give zero stars . I have it zero stars because it wasn’t what was in the picture and they are completely different shape to the ones I’m replacing and smaller. With that said wicked Cushions contacted me after the review and without me even asking for it or anything they refunded it for me. It’s literally the best customer service ever. I hope they fix the issues and release a updated wicked cushion for the Arctiz Nova 7x wireless. If they do that I will be buying every design available just because the customer service was top notch. I would t recommend Arctis nova 7x to buy them but I will recommend any other person that has a different head set to buy them.
