Riderwaite Tarot: Premiere Edition Cards – 1 Jan. 2017

This is a beautiful deck. Size is a little bigger than normal playing cards, but not too big, as many Tarot cards are these days. Colors are crisp and the quality just right, not too glossy and not thick, shuffling is easy. Cards appear to have that original quality to them, no 3D or extra detail added. The cards however come in a large box, which I do not find useful, just extra packaging to throw out. This set is not a vintage set, however. This is the copyright US Games version. The colors in this deck have been corrected slightly from the original, as far I can see. The fonts on the writing is not the original Smith hand writing, either. Having said that, it does not take anything away from the cards. If you are a purist, maybe this is not for you. But if you like that original RWD feel, but with an improved color version, this deck is for you.

I was delighted at how quickly my order arrived. I purchased this deck to replace one I have had for over 30 years and I wanted one exactly the same. There are many versions of this deck but personally I like the colours and features on the character cards. I had forgotten how lovely it is to use new cards. The finish on these cards is unbelievably beautiful and makes shuffling them an absolute dream. The deck also came with a Celtic Cross instruction sheet for beginners and the seller also included a bookmark which was a lovely touch. I would have no hesitation in recommending both the product and the seller.

Absolutely beautiful. These Tarot cards are excellent quality and I have to agree with a lady on here that replaced her 30 year old Rider Waite cards that they are simply a joy to shuffle and work with. I’ve had quite a number of compliments on how these cards look. Believe me and the other lovely people on here that say if you’re thinking of getting these for either your first time or you’re experienced then get them, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

There is little that can be said about this classic deck that hasn't been written. Over the years I've collected various versions from the Universal to the Radiant along with many other copies. But recently having discovered I was missing a card from my standard Rider deck (for some reason!!) I decided to buy the US Games version rather than the English.I can tell you other than the packaging there is very little difference. The backs are still the standard blue check pattern and the cards are coloured much the same. The main difference is the cards have a far higher gloss than the English version which have almost a mat finish. This finish may not be to all tastes but they are of a high standard and are very reasonably priced. Well worththe money though I would've preferred them to be as glossy as the same deck reviewed on YouTube. Perhaps USGames have had a re-thinks after complaints about them being as shiny as the ones I saw.

Very nice cards. Great for beginners. However, not so good to use if you wish to develop your intuition, as the pictures on the Minor Arcana tends to get in the way. But they are a very popular deck and good to have if you like collecting Tarot cards.

I spent a long time searching for my first deck. To save you some time, I completely recommend this deck.The images are really nice and easy to read and the deck is of great quality.Love love love them.The cards themselves are 12 x 7cm.
