Good to have
I have a rack to hold things when doing Sous Vide but there are times that does not work right or the bag is a bit big so the meat does not stay fully submerged. These help hold it down. Not sure I am using it as they suggest but they are a clean weight to hold down bags that do not stay fully submerged. Oh I use a vacuum chamber so there is virtually no air in the bag but the meat still has a bit of float to it.

Good buy. Use monthly
Good product for sous vide cooking to keep bags of food submerged.

Great for the air fryer!
I purchased these handy weights to use inside my air fryer. Often I am cooking or reheating food on parchment or tin foil. The fan in my air fryer is so strong that it will sometimes pick up the parchment or foil. Now I use one or two of these on the corners and no more flying foil or parchment. I haven't used them for sous vide yet, but I can tell they will perform as expected.

Does the job
Been using these for a while and they are no better or worse than other silicone-coated weights. Seem durable. Though I wish companies would just make stainless steel uncoated weights so that we don't have to deal with silicone flavor absorption.

Simple and Works
These are pretty simple devices. They are 4.0"L x 1.4"W x 0.6"D and weigh 4.5 oz. The website lists the temperature range as -22 to 446°F and states that they are dishwasher safe. They have a food grade silicone coating and can go directly into a sous vide bag with the food. I tested the "slickness" of the silicone by putting woodworker's glue directly on one of them. I spread it around and allowed it to dry. I used my fingernail and the glue popped right off so food shouldn't stick to them. We have some silicone measuring cups and they were discolored by tomato-based foods although the cups remained perfectly useable. Just a note of caution - these weights might not have that issue. They are heavy enough to sink a bag of food in a sous vide bath provided you evacuate as much air as possible. You should do this anyway in order for the sous vide to cook properly. Overall, it's a simple device for a simple task and should work well for you.

One of those things you buy that sits unused
I thought I was going to need these weights. But they really don't hold anything down that's you want submerged. I think the size needs to be bigger. They seem sturdy and easy to use and they don't get hot but they do not hold the product down. I bought little battery clips to keep my bags submerged and that seems to work better than these weights

Sleek, minimal, keeps bags down.
I did a quick test run with some lightweight veggies on the day that I received the weights. The bag with the weight stayed right where I left it at the start. They do exactly what is needed - no need to mess around with racks, magnets, mugs, or whatever else people use to keep bags down. Just pop one of these weights in with your food and place the bag exactly where you want it in the water. The silicone material feels strong and is easy to hand wash or throw into the dishwasher. Out of curiosity, I checked to see if a magnet could reach to the core of the weight but even my strongest magnet could not get through the silicon.Normally I would hesitate at the idea of having something like this touching my food inside the bag but I just really do trust Greater Goods for some reason. After purchasing many of their products (including their sous vide cooker as shown in the photos!) everything they sell has always been high quality and safe to use.
