An excellent book on materials and media - really good but…This book teaches you nothing about how to Sketch or Draw. Fine if you want to know about usage of pastels etcAlso…. It is supposed to be about sketching and drawing and yet most of it is about the use of colourWorth having on the bookshelf but really it is a very misleading title and I found the book very disappointing because of that fact alone

You will discover lots of inspiration to try out new materials, techniques or subjects.

The organization and presentation of instruction was truly an aid in trying new media and combining them to render a drawing. Explanations were clear.
