The media could not be loaded. ** UPDATE **After re-reading several negative reviews on this product, I find it hard to believe that anyone could hate this? Most all the negative complaints seem to be self-inflicted issues.#1. Hummingbird attachment - This attachment clips to the front of the feeder in place of the standard bird perch. Yes it is a little bit of a struggle to get off. That being said... it is SECURE. Meaning it isn't going to fall off when multiple birds are landing on it. Install the bird feeder in a position where you can comfortably reach the attachment to take it on and off for cleaning. Why in the world would anyone install a hummingbird feeder way up high then complain when they get rained on with nectar when they try to get the attachment off? That is poor installation not manufacturer issues. Install it smart and these problems won't occur! I have zero problems with maintaining my feeder. I am 5' 5" and have it installed about shoulder height. I have plenty of birds and hummers that visit every day. No need to install it way up high on a pole! If you want a "sky-high" view for whatever reason, don't use the hummer attachment!#2. This is NOT difficult to maintain. The feeder is mounted on a bracket. It twists back and forth so you can position the camera in a number of directions. Disconnect the solar panel if you have it, twist and slide it off the bracket and viola! Your feeder is now portable and can be cleaned out as needed. Again, if you choose to install the feeder in a difficult manner or in a diffult reach, then that is a self-inflicted issue. Netvue has included NUMEROUS installation techniques for installing the feeder. Pick one that is USER-FRIENDLY for YOU and install in that manner. If you choose to make things difficult on yourself, that is your fault not NETVUE.#3. Customer Service - I'm not sure how people are contacting customer service but I have found that their customer service very friendly and helpful! If you join the "Netvue Birdfy Community" group on Facebook, they even respond in there and allow you to post your photos and videos, ask questions, and even make suggestions to them on how to improve their product. I get replies within 24 hours in that group along with the help of other Birdfy owners. This company can't make it any easier! They even include two apps that you can use. Netvue and Netvue Next that is in beta with new features being added for capturing photos, videos, saving, and sharing.*** I guess if you aren't tech savvy then it may be a bit awkward to learn at first but if you aren't tech savvy, you shouldn't be buying a tech item and complaining about it. You need to be able to understand how technology works in order to use this item to its fullest potential. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this item and can't wait to get a few of the other items they offer like the birdhouse and the new hummingbird feeder that has dual cameras! I have also suggested that the do a camera bat house!*********************************************I have so many videos and photos to upload but Amazon will only let me upload one for some reason. This purchase is so much fun! I get hummingbirds and house finches so far. I need to change the food out to get the cardinals and the bluebirds to interact with the feeder. Almost want to get a second one so I can put different food in each one!You get up to 20 second videos, notifications when motion is detected right to your phone! Each video can have a number of photos also attached to it so you can see the bird identification. It isn't always perfect but has been pretty spot on!You also have the option to watch the camera in live mode! I love this feature as it doubles as a security camera and it will also let me see when the deer come in so I can set up to manually record right from my bird cam! It is the perfect addition to my trail cameras I have throughout the backyard!This is so much fun! Well worth the entertainment value! We even watch the camera at work when we take "birdie breaks" and gather around my phone for the latest videos! I get hundreds a day!I absolutely love this! No regrets and I can't wait to try some of the other Netvue products!

I expected this to be a fun little hobby cam that would simply show me bird visitors now and then but wow am I impressed. It certainly does that, and does it well, but I didn’t expect it to be as feature rich as it is. First of all, this rivals many security cams I use! Open the app and you get quick access to clips of events that the cam caught. This can be birds, but it can be anything that sets the motion off. Thankfully it’s not too sensitive where the rustling trees can trigger it. However, you can select live view and in seconds you can see your surroundings.You also have the ability to hit alerts, sirens (for squirrel invaders but really anything), mic to talk, record, light, screenshot and more. You have room for an SD card for local storage. This also has AI recognition and I found it pretty spot on (though I’m far from a bird aficionado). It also has night vision but you might have to adjust the can or not use some accessories as it can skew the infrared. While you won’t see many bud visitors at night, you may catch some other animals, as I’ve seen in the community section.That’s another cool feature in the app. You have access to other videos of activities shared by the community. I thought that wouldn’t be something I cared about but I’ve really liked viewing them. There’s also a lab feature to try new things. I haven’t done much with that yet but only because there’s already a lot there to tinker with and customize.The device and feeder itself were super easy to assemble. I was worried about mounting but it comes with just about every piece of hardware you could need. It also has a plastic squirrel blocker. The lid is easy to flip open and it holds a lot of seed, all without impeding the camera itself. The camera has an up/down adjustment which helps with what you want to see on the feeder and/or your yard. The resolution itself is pretty crisp too. In all, I’m extremely impressed, and it surpasses my expectations!
