Exactly what I wanted. Note that super tiny stones lay flat in the cradle of the smallest holder. Best for stones with some thickness. I tried it with a slice of agate and it layed at nearly a 45 degree angle. Perfect first step. Next step is to buy different style holders for the ones these don't work with.

These stands work great for my crystal and rock collection overall.The consistency of these stands are like the brittle plastic cups you get at weddings and other catered events. They aren't that thin, but they'll crack the same if you're not careful. Think dollar store clear plastic silverware maybe?But with the number of stands in the package, I doubt you'll be sad to let one or two go. The three sizes have covered my rock specimen collection from the smaller pieces through the large fist sized ones. It keeps them off the shelf, allowing for easier dusting days.
