No its not water based, This product is not water soluble either, meaning that it takes a deep clean shampoo to remove the M3, that's why we have SH2 shampoo. You can use M3, then go for a surf, swim Etc. and it will not come out or need reapplying as it is water resistant

Don't waste your money

This product is not matte finish at all . So greasy and it melts on your face and it feels so havy .you can buy same product for 3 pounds in your local store. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY......

Not Worth The Money

Tried various Clays in the past. This particular one is not good value for money. Does not hold for long periods of time, hard to apply. Would give it a 4/10. Best clays I’ve used so far is Morrocanoil and Black Label Clay
