This one actually works
I've bought several of these kinds of neck coolers, from the original sharper image one to the arctic air fans and also some of the other thermo electric cooler. This one is the only one that has actually worked for me.The sharper image one only worked for about 5 minutes before getting warm, the neck fans would bother me after a while by flowing air into my face and eyes, the other thermo electric coolers had the plates in the front of the neck and while the plates were cool I could feel heat coming from the rest of the unit. This one works better by having the plates in the back of the neck and also blows cool air.

Not for people w/hairđł
I was so excited to get this product considering itâs been 117° feels like temperatures in Houston. Unfortunately, even with my hair in a ponytail, the device was catching and breaking off my hair. It did not even cool when I was indoors and the house was 70° more of a hassle

Wow! Really keeps me cool!
I got this for while I am crafting as a normal fan blows all my stuff around. This works really great to keep me cool while working on my crafts. It has 3 different fan speed settings and it can be used with or without the cool âď¸ button. It isnât very loud, actually kinda soothing while Iâm concentrating on a project.

Not sure itâs working
It has a fan that runs at 3 speeds, and that seems to work, but not certain that adds any relief. It also has a button to make the patches cold, but I am rather certain that it is not making a difference, in fact, I donât believe that feature is working.

Mixed emotions
This neck fan did not completely wow me. It did keep me pretty cool as I was able to find the perfect air flow setting during my morning jogs but it is not bladeless so you need to keep your hair up. The cooling plates of this neck fan was the best feature but it is a bit cumbersome to wear, it felt bulky. It performed a good job of keeping me cool but even with a completely charged battery, it didn't last as long as I had hoped.

Works best when itâs not Texas Summer hot!
Central Texas can be brutally hot for quite a few months out of the year. I try to dress accordingly when working outdoors, by wearing a broad brimmed vented hat and moisture wicking UV-blocking long sleeved shirts, and light weight lomg pants and gloves. I selected this item I thought it was a brilliant idea and had really had high hopes that it would make life more bearable while working outside.Once it arrived and I unboxed it, I found that the manual was surprisingly well written (for this type of product). I plugged it in and it found that it charged fairly quickly and took it outside into the afternoon heat to see how it performed. My likes and dislikes are listed below. What I liked:⢠Charge time upon opening was a reasonable 47 minutes⢠Total run time before dead 1 hour and 32 minutes with the cooling pads on and fan on medium⢠Buttons or logically placed at end of neck extension⢠Air flows over the cooling pads and directly onto your neck (unlike some neck fans where the pads and cooling fans are completely independent)⢠When the wind was still or less than 5 mph the fans really helped⢠When the temperature was (Texas) warm 85° to 90° the cooling pads were beneficial⢠The ability to operate the fans and semiconductor cooling pads independently was beneficial from a battery usage standpoint⢠The fan noise was quite bearable on low and medium settings⢠The ability to adjust the fit around my neckWhat I didnât like:⢠I wanted to wear this while working outdoors in the heat of the day, but the combination of my motion while working, the steady winds and 45 consecutive days of temperatures over 100° this last summer greatly limited the cooling potential for this deviceTo be fair, in the âHow to Useâ section of the manual, they actually acknowledge the temperature limitation with the following statement âIt is recommended to use the neck fan below 95°F/35°C for a better user experienceâ.Best uses:⢠Sitting in a low wind situation when in warm temperatures⢠Casual walking or a gentle bike ride n warm temperatures⢠Sitting outside watching sports (kids sports, baseball game, soccer match, etc.)⢠Sitting in any covered venue where there is little or no wind⢠Waiting a bus stop (for you folks who have them)Not good for wearing during:⢠Aerobic exercise, jogging, running⢠Mountain/off road biking,⢠Riding on ATV or Dirt bikes⢠Horseback riding⢠Most lawn work (mowing, running a string trimmer and chainsaw work which all stir up too much dust/debris)⢠Strong winds (negates the fan)⢠Temperatures in excess of 95°In general, this could be a great little cooling device depending on your use case. While it didnât fit my needs, it may well fit yours, especially if you live in a warm climate and low wind area and find yourself doing many low-impact activities or enjoying outdoor sporting events. Last but not least, the price has dropped to less than $20 on the day I wrote this review, so it has become much more affordable over time.

Neck âACâ
Product blew absolutely NO air, fans continued to jam up and pull my neck hairs. The ONLY thing that got âcoldâ were the two metal circular plates. Definitely NOT worth money or time spent on the item
