No just the Risk game! That is all you need - trust me. Our family plays and plays it. Great time.

Q: Can someone explain the rules for the Dragon Risk the, rule book doesn’t really explain it well?

The dragon is placed on the board by the player who has been dealt the dragon card before any other player claims a terrority by dealt out risk cards. Then place armies on terrorities. If the dragon is in one of your terrorities you roll one dice. If you roll five or six you stop the dragons attack on your terrority. You roll dice once more and you move the dragon how many spaces the dice show. Onto anyone's terrority.

Q: Can this version block the use of Alexa? Can it be played without ever using Alexa?

Yes it is. The use of Alexa is optional. All my matches have been without using it
