I just won't work for what i need
I'm returning it because it won't work for what i need. I need just a hotspot not a router. Our internet carrier can't or won't make it work with our plan. I'm sure it's fine for those that need a router. I just misunderstood what i was ordering since hotspot was listed in the description. I'm not very tech savvy.

Portable LTE Hotspot
This is a very small, portable LTE hotspot, suitable for use anywhere that LTE service is available, and Wifi is not (or if you just want a more private internet connection over LTE.)In the box we have the hotspot itself, a small USB A-to-Micro-B cable (6 inches), and a very tiny instruction card.Okay, first things first: This unit DOES NOT accept the standard nano-SIM that, in 2023, most of us are used to. It uses the slightly larger, medium sized "MICRO-SIM" format. This is not a problem, you can find adapters out there, but you need to be aware of this. Since they made this clear in the product listing, no stars docked for that!Next, you need to bring your OWN SIM or service plan to use this thing, and it needs to have a Mobile Internet/Connected Device/Data plan on it. Most US carriers make, for some strange reason, a distinction between a Voice plan (which includes data), and a Data-only plan (which does not include voice.) You need the latter - the device won't work on the former. I used an already-activated T-Mobile Data SIM for testing, and it worked just fine. You'll want to charge this thing thoroughly before you try to use it. I love that it has a removable battery. I WISH they would sell (and I may go hunting for) spare batteries. A spare battery would increase the usefulness of this thing for travel significantly. The device DOES NOT include a charger. It uses the older micro-USB-B connector on older model cell phones, and any USB-A charger device. The unit took about 3 hours to charge completely. After that, though, having put in the SIM, and charged the battery, you just press and hold the power button until the unit turns on. It broadcasts itself as a WIFI network, and you can read the default network name and default password from a label underneath the battery inside the unit. That label also provides you the default IP address of the unit and the login name and password. Armed with all of that, you can then log in to the web interface and change anything you like.Things I don't like about this: The cable is pointlessly short. The instructions are pointlessly tiny, and not as clear as they could be. The unit does not support 5G. However, as with the SIM size, these things are all clearly illustrated in the very well-done product listing, so you know what you're getting.Things I DO like about this: It's small. It's light. VERY small and VERY light. You could toss it in a purse or briefcase and never feel it. It works as you'd expect. It's intuitive. It's easy to use. It gets good network speeds. It works really really well.Overall, this is a really fantastic little LTE hotspot, and I absolutely will be using it regularly. I'll be watching this provider to see if they offer a 5G version in the near future but today, 4G LTE is just fine, and this little unit will get you online when all else fails. Buy with confidence!

Outdated one!
It is a small pocket size. I don't like the way to open and close the lid. It is a bit hard for me to do that. Talking about technology, it is a bit outdated router now. It supports only 4G LTE, not 5g but you never know when you need it. If you travel a lot, you might need one. You can do tethering from your phone but It is better to have a dedicated device. If you have more budget, you are better go for the latest technology. You can pass on this one.

Works fine for what I'm using it for
Which is as a backup for internet in the event my regular home internet is down/in an outage, as I wfh 100% of the time.Do I need it to be blazing fast? No, I'm not gaming on it or anything, I wouldn't use it for that. I mostly edit spreadsheets, documents, send emails, some light web browsing such as banking or vendor websites, nothing too strenuous that this wouldn't work for.I did have to get a different SIM, which I had to wait on, but luckily my home internet didn't go out before that. This works like the old T-mobile 3G mobile hotspot I had, but is 4G/faster. The size is pretty much the same even. Good for what I need it for.

Unimpressive
It works, but only in the simplest definition of the word. It's not fast, it uses a slightly uncommon sim card, and it GUI is slow and clunky. I wasn't expecting much from a 4G LTE modem, but this just failed to deliver. If you're okay with second rate then definitely get this, otherwise I would just spend more and be happier. It does connect to the internet and it's fairly simple to setup so all is not lost. Overall it's just unimpressive middle of the road operability, but in a pleasingly small and portable package.
