Good hole puncher and great suggestions from the company. The best one was how to sharpen the hole puncher: Long term maintenance: To keep the blades sharp, fold a sheet of aluminium foil so it is 4 sheets thick and punch about 20 holes in it with each sized punch. Repeat if necessary.

What a waste of money. I've had the same, cheap, similar- styled all steel leather hole punch for a decade, and finally decided to upgrade. Literally on maybe its 40th hole punched, I noticed this thing wouldn't punch all the way through like it was. Upon inspection I noticed the entire head had bend sideways slightly, and no longer would the punch attack the leather at the appropriate angle. It's not useless. I was using regular cowhide, nothing too thick or crazy.. standard stuff. This thing is now in the trash and my $5 steel punch is back in service. Look elsewhere, don't by this thing.

I couldn't find anyone in my town (surprisingly) that could punch a simple hole through a thick leather watch band, so I gave up and bought this after researching on Amazon. I can honestly say that this tool did an excellent job on punching a hole in my watch band. It was very easy to do. It's just like using a hole punch you use for paper. They offer 6 sizes but none of them were exactly the same size of the holes already on the watch, but, hey, it was very close-- I used the smallest setting. It also comes with a plastic ruler. The hole punch feels heavy duty and very well made. I'm very happy and wish I had this earlier for making belt and bag strap holes.

The product is great and I'm really impressed with Skilled Crafter's customer service! I don't know this because I contacted them with questions/problems, but because they were proactive and care so much about their product that they reached out with a user's guide containing tips and tricks before it even arrived! I've used the leather hole punch on a pair of sling backs that had become too loose and I can't wait to use it more. I'm even looking for more projects just so I can use it again! It works very well with minimal effort and comes with several helpful tools as well.

So I purchased this as a gift for my father-in-law who works with leather often. The grips were amazing according to him, very comfortable. The issue is that these hole punchers didn't do the one thing they were made to do, punch holes in leather. We tried different leathers, thick and thin, and it yielded the same result. We figured maybe you just had to break them in, but after only 2 months they have now broke. Maybe we just had a faulty hole punch? I don't know, but I probably would not purchase these again.

I recently purchased the Skilled Crafter Hole Punch and it arrived exactly as promised, in a cardboard box which housed the punch, 3 spare punch plates, a clear 6" ruler, remover tool, and tiny screwdriver in its own plastic case. My 18 yr old daughter had no trouble punching nice, clean holes in the straps of several of my leather bags. The holes look exactly like the premade ones that were already on the straps. The punch seems sturdy and should last a very long time. I'm very pleased with this puchase and would definitely recommend it to others.

I would give this seller more stars if I could! They really go the extra mile to satisfy the customer! This is a very good leather hole punch indeed, however, I had a little issue with the first one, no fault of the seller though, a manufacturer defect no doubt. After completing a project with it, I wanted to let seller know what the issue was so they can inspect the others they had in stock. No way was I tryna exchange mine after all I had used it! Which is fair because I should have exchanged it once I noticed the problem. So I sent a message explaining the problem I had with the item and let it go at that. To my surprise, the next day I was notified that I received a refund for this item from my bank, then a few days later a package arrived and it was a new hole punch to replace the defect one! I couldn't believe it! I was actually speechless and didn't know what to say when thanking them! lol. Anyway, the new one works great, no problems with it at all and I am very happy with my decision to shop here! I'm also very impressed by this seller's professionalism. The description was very accurate and the product was even better than expected. Over the years I have used several leather hole punches and they are plagued with poor hinge points, rust easily, cutters easily dull or not sharp, and finally the cutters would push out due to the necessitated added pressure needed to punch the intended hole. The Skilled Crafter Pro Hole Punch takes care of those issues. As indicated in the product description the handles are well designed and cushioned. The hinges are of quality of construction and do require less effort to properly punch holes. In fact the first few holes I punched I actually used too much pressure and left unnecessary deep cut marks in the plate. No problem because they include a second plate with the order along with a screwdriver and holder. Also the cutters are held in place by a collar to prevent push through in the event of heavy punching pressure. This tool is a welcome improvement over the more common hole punches. A quality product at a fair value price.
