I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter and son in law, they were delighted with it.It was easy to assemble, and was put together in no time, by the time they added the stones, ornaments and of course the fish, it looks really pretty lit up, especially at night,

DO NOT USE FOR SIAMESE FIGHTING FISH - my fighter was in the tank for 2 days before the filter sucked him in, luckily he has managed to survive but most of his beautiful fins have been ripped off causing him so much suffering. Took about 10 minutes to remove him from the filter which was traumatic for us both, I didn't think he would survive.That being said the tank itself is amazing, looks lovely, great size but please be warned use a different filter, do some research on suitable filters, would hate for any other fish to suffer unnecessarily :-(

Filter is useless. I'm always cleaning my tank and changing the water but it's always dirty and I've had several deaths. Avoid!

This is just under 5gal so your not going to be able to do likes of minnow etc its too small they need a big tank as they school like the 55ltr (14gal) aqua one aspire which i use with a beefy fluval 150ltr max u3 underwater filter.Filter: drop the kit filter and get something like a marina i25 waterfall filter which sits above the water line its a 25ltr capable filter so plenty for this at 22ltr its also slow flow perfect for a betta and its not strong enough to get sucked into it.Light : I keep my tank near a window so in my case light is redunant as a lamp is next to it on a timer and during its not in direct sunlight but its got light on it so saves electric tooHeater : Aslo heater i got included is rated 50w this is a bit excessive in this tank 25w is plenty.So i recommend getting an inkbird controller to cut electric costs here as that will switch the heater off completely unless its needed.Planting : yep plants will work good in this just watch height they grow to but at 38cm high ton of options. Just keep around 2in in substrate for plants to grow inDecoration : thanks to height most ornaments will work height wise just watch width its only 33cm so wide ornaments wont work

I bought this tank to use as an isolation tank for my large 1 m tropical fish tank. After a while set up for my 12 year old in her room.The top part (full of water) slides all the time. Can be dangerous as it looks heavy giving no indication of sliding.It looks great but not sturdy enough.

It is a small nice tank, the lighting comes with it is not bright enough( I’m using a clip on light along with its light+ planning to buy Finnex planted +) and not suited for plant growth .Filter seems little bigger in comparison with size of the tank. I’m happy with the design and it looks great. Can be a good shrimp tank, if filter is replaced with a sponge filter.Lid provided will be difficult to place if using a clip on light.

tank build not to good glass thin compared to tetra mine arrived with small chip on corner light only in one of the plastic towers there is nothing to hold tank on base could slip off easily watch it if you have pets or children. mine came with heater but pump is tiny filter is 25mm square you will have to get better one its style over substance will buy tetra tanks in future. filter media cost £6 to £7 for two they measure 12mm rip off price and I had to buy a new heater one that came with it much to big
