This robot was a great one-day project for my son. The assembly was relatively easy and while the programming was more complicated than the assembly, he mastered that too. He had been enrolled in a STEM scouts' group and robotics was the topic this past season so the kit aligned with what the group had been doing over the past few weeks.

This was an excellent kit for me and my son! We’ve been working up through various levels of projects and we’ve had obstacle avoiding cars and sideways driving cars, but this self balancing kit was a hit! - Honestly was exciting to see this one come together and balance itself while following a line! - The best part about these kits (IMO) is that these components from various kits can be combined and integrated into bigger and better projects! Great for building into the next skill level or even beginners (comes with excellent info and documentation) Totally suggest this one for anyone who loves robotics that can actually perform!

I ordered this for my 11-year-old grandson who has had several classes on how to code. He is a heavy gamer and a natural with code. He had no problem building The Adeept Self-balancing Robot. The parts are sealed in antistatic bags which is great. He said the instructions were great in some steps and not so great in other steps. He was able to figure out most of the assembly without heavy use of the instructions. Coding was a little challenging but he read the manual and the programming code which are available online. The link is on a card included in your package. They state there are no paper tutorials because the tutorials are updated frequently. I always worry about online coding for these types of robots as once discontinued often the link is also deleted. We have experienced this in the past with a couple of other robotic toys. Coding wasn’t as easy for him as I thought it was going to be but he figured out how to program the little guy and changes the code when he feels like it. You can download an Android app to control the robot remotely. It was a neat learning experience but he has begun to lose interest in this project. I do recommend this robot.

This is a nice kit. All the parts are individually bagged in anti static bags. I wish the main board was a standard board but it is a non-standard board costume made for the application. The manual and programing code is available online. You can customize the code to add or change any function you want.

This is a very fun robot to assemble. I think it would suit a teenager very well also. It’s a great idea for if you don’t know what to get a teenager for their birthday.

This is a nice STEM learning kit. It comes with everything you need to build it and even has some character. I think it is a great kit for kids to learn some new problem solving/troubleshooting skills. The parts are pretty decent quality too.

The Adeept Self-balancing Robot was a fairly easy build for our child, but when it comes to the coding part, it was WAY more difficult. Our son has taken only some coding classes, so we are just speaking to His experience.You have to download instructions for coding online (web access address provided on paper inside box), which is very difficult to get to in the first place. Some instructions were very straightforward, while other instructions were way more vague.In concept, this is an amazing robot that is full of potential. But, unlocking the potential is the trick.Will update when we get the hang of everything.

The media could not be loaded. Der Support ist hervorragend, ich habe in weniger als 6 Stunden eine Antwort bekommen, dafür gibt es 5 Sterne! Dieses Produkt ist trotz einiger kleinen Mängel zu empfehlen. Ich habe 3 kleine Problemchen gehabt: 1. Es sind keine Batterien enthalten, man muss also 2 mal Lithium Ionen Akku L18650 (Kosten um die 4€ pro Akku (4€ Versandkosten)) bestellen, wenn das Produkt Batterien enthalten würde wäre ich noch zufriedener gewesen. 2. Die Adeept- App stürzt leider bei mir ab, ich habe ein Xiaomi Mi A3 und ich weiß nicht ob das Handy Kompatibel mit der App ist. 3. Die Tutorials sind richtig gut, jedoch habe ich einen kleinen Fehler entdeckt. Dieses Produkt verwendet eine veraltete Bibliothek (Library), Arduino IDE frägt bei jedem Start ob die Bibliothek geupdated werden soll. Wenn ihr das macht, entstehen Probleme. Also: Manuell Libraries hinzufügen, wie es in den Tutorials beschrieben ist.Für mich ist die IRemote&Balancing die coolste funktion! Dieses Produkt bietet viel mehr als ich erwartet habe! Top!
