Good Quality Stretching Machine, Works as Advertised
Just got this a couple days ago. It came fast and was in perfect condition. But there was no carrying case included even though it's supposed to be. I wrote to the seller and am awaiting a response. The little machine works well. It has a good range of pressure and angle adjustments. It's comfortable to lie in and feels good as it pulls the neck. It's too early for any results but I did feel some pain relief after the first use. I have been suffering from pain 24/7 for over 20 years in my neck and shoulders due to tight muscles which constrict the nerves and discs. I get headaches, dizziness and have Chronic Fatigue due to all the pain and nerve constriction. I hope this machine will help me in the long run. I'm a 42 year old male massage therapist and know the benefits of stretching. I have been using the 20-25 pressure for now. The gauge works well and all the materials seem to be of high quality. The release button works great. The machine came with a gray soft pad that I am not sure what to do with. It may be for the back as you lay on the floor..I hope I can get the carrying case shipped to me. I like this machine because it is very easy to use and requires no set-up. I've been stretched at chiropractor's office on a large machine that applies traction to both the feet and neck. This is basically a small version and of course only works the neck. I'll update when I know more about the carrying case and also on my pain reduction progress.UPDATE: The company did send me the carrying case and it is very nice and good quality. I have been using this machine for about a year now and can say that it definitely helps with my neck pain. It is very strong so it pulls and stretches the neck muscles and you can feel it working because the slider part moves a bit as the neck becomes looser (longer). It definitely works for me and the quality of the machine is first rate. The only other thing that may benefit from a better design is the head band that goes over the forehead to keep you in position. It digs into the skin after a couple minutes and becomes a bit painful but not too bad. I would make it wider and maybe with a soft pad where it comes in contact with skin. I would recommend this to neck pain sufferers. Just be careful and start out with light pressure and build it gradually. Also, after each session, lie there after releasing the air and let the muscles adjust (a minute or 2) before getting up from the floor.

FINALLY THE REAL DEAL
this is the real deal. I just finished Physical Therapy for my neck and shoulder impingement and they used the exact same model. I also have used all of the cheap so called traction, the over the door… etc etc..they are all garbage and will hurt you... I have Disc degenerative disease with herniated discs in the neck. I have been getting progressively worse for years and I do not wish to have a complete disc collapsing on me. For those of you that have never used a traction device, 1. It should never hurt 2. Get a qualified medical professional to help to show you how to use it. 3. Get a qualified medical professional to be the one to tell you whether or not your condition can be helped or hurt by using traction. ("Preferably a Chiropractor as they are more open minded than most types of doctors") Its pricier than the crazy cheap things out there that claim they are traction for the neck..but if your doctor says that traction will help your condition, Its worth the investment for your health. There have been people that said this hurt them. Traction may not be safe for everyone, but if it is for you, take the advice of the health care professionals that taught me how to use it properly. First lay perfectly still while your using it. Second, keep your arms down at your side, relax your face and jaw,,,THIRD "this means no multitasking" this is a treatment and any jostling around it will affect the pressure as a safety device. another negative comment I have seen. FOURTH You must lay in a flat comfortable position, the floor is preferable I use my yoga mat under me and my ottoman to hold my legs up,,relaxing the whole spine. FIFTH Let gravity and the machine do its job.. It is very important to use this properly or you will hurt yourself.FINALLY ALWAYS start out slow 5 minutes work up to 15 minutes,,,release the pressure slowly gradually and DO NOT GET UP when your timer goes off. YOU NEED to remain laying in the machine for as long as you did your treatment,, allowing your head and neck to relax into its normal position before sitting up. Or you could suffer pain and dislocation. I have been seeing a chiropractor for my neck pain and for the first time in my life I have been to my doctors and my neck has not been out 4 weeks in a row now. It takes a few weeks of using it for the changes to start showing physically.
