Roof batten good quality

I bought this timber to make a heavy duty trellis to hang pots on. The timber arrived a day early and it was dead straight with very few knots. It was pretreated but I gave it a coat of fence paint as well. Excellent quality timber at a very reasonable price.

The bundle of 8 pieces which I received were very much discoloured, they appeared to have been affected by damp, as there was much evidence of fungal growth with spores along the entire length of some of the pieces. All in all, A bit rough!.Should I need more in the future. I will use an alternative supplier.

Excellent value good quality timber

I really like working with these preservative coated battens and have purchased them several times for making garden bed edging. They are bundled tightly and this keeps them nicely straight. I stack them edge on and screw through to form deeper edging. A good price too considering the included delivery.
