Great product with fantastic range
I tried the RING mailbox sensor and did not like it for my purposes. Primarily, it did not work with my Amazon show, so it only gave me notifications on my phone, and I could not customize the sound so it sounded like all the other neighborhood notifications. X-Sense comes with an indoor device ("base station") that makes a unique ding and has a red light AND you get a notification on your phone as well. You can easily reset the indoor device to its blue light by pressing a button on the device.PROSeasy to set up.works great with no special antennathe mailbox sensor itself is small (inside of the door near the top suggested) and does not interfere with the mail.you do not have to answer the telephone notification (and it asks you to do that on RING which is annoying).the base station comes with the sensor and allows flexibility to add more sensors -- I am particularly interested in a driveway sensor and the smoke detector sensors, and they are reasonably priced.CONSnone so far. I would have liked to have it say "you've got mail" but none do this!! LOLI am very happy and recommend highly!!

Well made, sturdy, easy to set up, and a great price.
Every time I purchase an electronic device I shudder. Because it never seems to go as smooth as it should when I try to install it. Not this time!! It came quickly and I let it sit on my desk a couple of days because of my past experiences. I decided this morning to go ahead and give it a go. The instructions are step-by-step and very easy to follow. I had it installed and up and running in about 30 minutes. For me that's a record! The range seems to be really good. Our mailbox is about 40 yards from the house. I put the monitor in the nearest room to it, down on the floor, and it has worked flawlessly with all of the testing I've done. And I really like the fact that I get the alert on my phone and can set whatever alert tone I want.Today is day one, so I cannot comment on durability or longevity. But if the build is any indication it will last a long time. But for the price, features, connectivity, and ease of install? If it goes a couple of years I'll be happy and just replace it with an identical unit.

Awesome and Convenient
The X-Sense Smart Mailbox Alarm System is a cutting-edge solution for anyone seeking a blend of convenience and security in managing their mail. With real-time push notifications delivered directly to your mobile device, you'll never miss a mail delivery again. Whether you use a curbside, wall-mounted, or cluster mailbox, this versatile system integrates effortlessly into various setups. One of its most impressive features is the long-distance transmission capability, ensuring a strong and reliable connection to the base station. This means you’ll receive timely alerts, even from a considerable distance. The system’s installation is refreshingly simple, requiring no wiring—just the included double-sided tape and user-friendly in-app guidance.Built to last, the X-Sense Mailbox Alarm boasts an IP65 waterproof rating and operates efficiently in extreme temperatures, from 14°F to 140°F. Its durable ASA shell and silicone seal protect against UV damage, guaranteeing longevity even in harsh weather conditions. The replaceable battery, designed to last up to four years with typical usage, further underscores its practicality.Additionally, the system supports multi-user sharing, allowing everyone in your household to stay informed. This thoughtful feature adds to its appeal for families or shared living arrangements. I enjoyed that this particular unit included the base, that also had an optional alarm. I can also use the base to hook up additional X-Sense products, like the water leak indicators. In summary, the X-Sense Smart Mailbox Alarm System combines durability, functionality, and ease of use. Its innovative design not only streamlines mail management but also provides peace of mind, making it a standout choice for modern households.

Works well, lacking some features
I just installed this yesterday in my metal neighborhood cluster box. My house and the base station is about 100’ away. I chose not to follow the directions, which say to mount it on the swing open door. I was afraid it would fall off and get lost at some point. Instead, I mounted it on the back wall of my mailbox. It works as long as the mailbox isn’t so full that it blocks the motion sensor.I don’t use the base station’s alarm or light or announcements. I only cared about the phone notifications, which it does well.PROS:- Simple installation worked right out of the box. Super easy.- Can share the device with my neighbors so they get alerted when the mail arrives, too. (Untested, but seems straightforward)- Battery strength indicator, and battery low alerts so you know in advance when you need to replace them.CONS:- No signal strength indicator to know if you’re too far away or in danger of losing connectivity.- No way to temporarily disable alerts, so now it alerts when I get my mail as well. I’d like to tap a button in the app to mute it for 5 minutes or something so I can get my mail unannounced.

Very solid product, easy to setup
Followed the instructions, installed app first then added the base station, connected the alarm to the base station and attached it to the mailbox at last. Working flawlessly with one setup attempt. Getting alerts from my phone too. So much better than my old mail chime that used an old fashioned antenna.
