Waterproof New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs-ESV-Tree Bark

I am very pleased with this edition of the NKJV new testament, psalms and proverbs; it has a 'non-religious' cover and is ideal for keeping in my rucsac (being waterproof). The type is small (7 point), but crystal clear - and not a problem for my 68 year old, spectacle-wearing eyes. In many NKJV bibles now, the original 1982 preface - explaining why the 'Received Text' is preferable to later ones, and the superiority of 'complete equivalence' in translation - has been shortened; here it is printed in full. And until I bought this, I had given up hope of finding a new NKJV which (like my much-loved 1982 'Revised Authorised Version' - the anglicised NKJV) does not have Jesus' words printed in red. Here the whole text is black. Jesus' words in red is wrong for three reasons: (1) The red text is harder to read; (2) It creates a difference not in the original Greek; (3) It implies that words spoken by Jesus before his ascension are more important than words inspired by the Holy Spirit after his ascension - an idea that contradicts our understanding of the Holy Trinity. Finally, I note that the text in Bardin & Marsee's complete (OT + NT) NKJV bibles is 8 point.

Its the bible written by God, obviously its awesome! Go Jesus!

Perfect gift for (current) non-believing friends and family.It feels like it is made from good quality materials. Ergonomically, it feels great to hold and read.

very impressed by the feel of the pages, the print though not large is clear and relatively easy to read. cover is flexible.7"by 4"by less than 3/4" very compact, lightweight. a few pages for notes at the back.very pleased I bought it.highly recommended for outdoors camping or just to read at home.

Very practical,easy to read

Was bought this Bible for my birthday by my best friend and absolutely love it! It gets used a lot while I'm in the pool and the water rolls right off. It floats too which is a bonus. Looking at other reviews was pleased I got given the NT version as the full Bible version is apparently quite thick and heavy. This is perfect to use in the pool for long periods of time. Love it!
