If you are looking for a cheap alternative to get portals they work fine but there is a section of axel sticking out of the portal with nothing around it and I have 2 extra bearings I’m not sure what the go to due to no instructions but most of it is fairly easy to figure out other than that my only other issue is I didn’t know it added quite a bit of width I would have liked them more if the extra length of axel wasn’t sticking out so much widening it probably another 4 mm

I bought these for my son, for his scx24 and one of the axles broke on the second run. He is only running a stock motor, so it’s not like there was a ton of torque going to it.

A nice comprehensive kit to add portals to your SCX24. Fit and finish are good, all parts needed are included. This does widen your track so if you are using wideners now, you may want to use std. hexes when switching to these portals.A few notes:- V1 Stock electronics - you need to reverse your motor wires or your throttle controls will be reversed- V2 Stock electronics - you should be able to reverse your throttle on the controllerConcerns:- Replacement stub shafts - Please make them available ASAP!Final thoughts:I wanted something to bridge the gap between the straight-axle scx24 and the fms portals. This is exactly that and should really add some capability, especially to small-tire rigs.

I wasn't sure at first due to some of the reviews. They actually were not hard to build or install at all. And as far as forward becoming reverse?! All you have to do is switch the polarity on the plug for the motor and it functions like it's supposed to. And you have to switch the polarity for any and all portals for these trucks.. the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because nothing is perfect, you lose a good bit of turning radius, I will be getting another set for rear steering. They are definitely worth the price. Especially if you just want to try portals out and don't want to drop a bunch on a full setup.
