DJI Action 2 Power Combo (128GB), Action Camera 4K + Extended Battery Module, 4K/120fps, Super-Wide 155° FOV, Magnetic Attachments, Stabilization Technology, Mini Action Camera

The DJI Action 2 has been upgraded to include 128gb of memory now. I have two of the original 32gb models with the power modules and screen modules. They are such a great small sized action camera with great stabilization features. When I heard about the upgrade, I purchased two of the 128gb models with the additional power modules. The only issue is with overheating, and then shutting down. However, I do my keep them cool by placing a very quiet muffin fan in close proximity to keep a generous flow of air around them when in use.

Love this camera and all its accesories. The images on video are excellent with great resolution and audio. The images don't jump with erratic movement, they stay complete stable. I definitely recommend it.

This review will be for focused for FPV pilots.You're probably deciding between this and GoPro so here is my thoughts as I own both. The size and weight make this the best FPV camera for Freestyle Performance* hands down! Let me be clear for performance* if you're dead set on having a better image than a better flying drone then get a Gopro.I film and fly professionally and also a sponsored freestyle pilot. I own a lot of the different action cameras and have lots of quads! This DJI Action 2 still offers the best image quality how light it is. My quad flighs noticbly better with this camera over my new gopro's. I fly with all the Pro pilots here in the states and we mostly all use this DJI Action 2. I use Gopro's for anything cinematic on cinewhoops and long range quads but not for freestyle! The flight performance far out weighs the image quality vs Gopro. The price fluctuates try to get it for under $300 when you see it and you MUST absolutly purchase the Asurion protection for freestyle because you will break the back screen first 100% then the camera. I own a few of these for freestyle and keep them in rotation with Asurion.Pros:Size and Weight will make your 100% quad perform better making matty's and inverted tricks easier.Image quality is really good for how much smaller it is than Gopro.Because it has limited internal storage it forces you to backup your footy to the charging base which holds the SD card. I love this because I've lost a lot of gopro footage and forgetting to save the footy after a good line.The design is perfectly square and astheticly looks better on a freestyle quad.Lots of 3Dprints for the action 2 available for most all quads.It's a great tiny B camera to use on vacation because of the attachments/chest mount. However I like my Instago 3 for quick family vaction stuff i don't have to think about because the app is better and its even smaller.Cons: Battery life is what it is for how small this is, I don't think there is a way around that. However you can manage its auto off features in the camera and also be more mindful of powering it off and keep it connected to the base charger to help. You should buy 2 if you plan on freestyling all day.Just like any Action Camera this camera will 100% break when freestyling with it. So make sure you get Asurion and buy 2 so you have one on rotation if you can afford to. The screen will go first, you can mitigate this by running toilet tank battery. I've had some go for months and some go instantly just depends on the crash. No simple screw on ND's for freestyle, they do have ND's that screw on but its better to buy the TBS glass ones and fit it inside the camera mount.

I've had DJI drones, cameras before, but after going through what DJI required me to agree to was not worth the trouble. They literally require access your entire phone's contents. I returned it.

Not great battery life

Too fragile came out broken

I usually love DJI products as I own one of their drones. However, the DJI Action 2 overheated and shut down 9 minutes into its first use with protective case. It was only 75 degrees and getting lots of wind as I was going 16 MPH. The video quality is great, but that doesn’t matter much if it’s not recording.
