Creates beautiful portraits
Fantastic lens. Works perfect with my Fujifilm XT2. Focusing speed isn’t the fastest but it doesn’t hunt a whole lot. It is also quiet when focusing. The lens has nice bokeh and creates nice beautiful background separation. The lens seems sharp at F1.7, to my eyes. I love this lens, and I think you will too.

The VILTROX 56mm F1.7 is an outstanding value for any Fuji photographer
As a hobbyist photographer using a Fuji X-T3, I was searching for an affordable prime portrait lens and decided on the VILTROX 56mm F1.7 Fuji XF. It has exceeded my expectations. This lens is lightweight, making it ideal for extended shoots. Its image quality is impressive, with sharp details and stunning bokeh that enhances portraits beautifully. The f/1.7 aperture ensures excellent low-light performance, allowing versatility in various conditions.Although it lacks a physical aperture ring, the electronic adjustment is intuitive and easy to use. Autofocus isn't the fastest but performs reliably for portraits and handles moving subjects with minimal issues.Overall, the VILTROX 56mm F1.7 is an outstanding value for any Fuji photographer seeking quality and affordability.

lens chip could be better.
Nice and sharp! not such an integrated menu for the autofocus om Fujj X, menu items change at each startup.Nicely built with good glass, but lens chip isn't top quality ,even with latest firmware..

Good solid option for the price
I like the lens. For the size it is light and although plastic for the body, feels good. I guess I didn't read it correctly or hadn't paid attention, but the aperture if fixed and I'm used to a variable option with my lenses. I bought this one as a inexpensive option to try the 50ish focal length before committing to the Fuji option which is apparently amazing but expensive. I use a xt30 so with the crop factor it means being further away from your subject than I'm used to (the Fuji 35mm F 1.4 is my main lens which I love). Overall if you're on a budget and want this type of lens, I would recommend it. Photos are sharp and since there is not much to play with when taking your photos, you can focus on taking the photo and the subject.

Ultra-sharp, less isolation
This is a staggeringly good lens. It's sharp across the frame right from wide open and sharper at any aperture than my Fuji 56/1.2R. Colors are the same, contrast is better, and it weighs nothing. Focus is fine in my early tests: silent and quick. The only thing the Fuji does better is background isolation. At equivalent apertures, the Fuji's bokeh balls are bigger, there's more blur, and it's slightly more telephoto in angle of view. And of course, f/1.2 has even more isolation (the Fuji's trump card is definitely portraiture where isolation trumps detail) and adds a full stop of light gathering. Still, coming from a long history with Canon, Nikon, and Sony, there has never been a better set of optics from a 50-56 f/1.7-f/1.8 lens.

Super impressed
I know it's inexpensive but who needs another 50mm? Well why not? I'm so glad I purchased this lens. It is crazy sharp even wide open. The colors on my XS20 or gorgeous. Its very lightweight and fits beautifully on any Fuji body. This lens comes with the lens hood. If you like Fujis lighter weight lenses like the 35mm f2 then this pairs nicely with with. I didn't think I'd be taking this on my next vacation but I will. Only minor con that I noticed is it seems a few milliseconds slower to focus than red badge lenses, but that's a given. Id give this lens a solid 10/10. Check out the YouTube reviews on this lens. They are all good.
