This wireless remote control add-on kit allows you to control the same devices you now control with the full kit but from another room or location using another display or TV. This would require a splitter device to be used to show the same picture on more than one TV. Even though obstacles such as thick barriers, metal studs and steel mesh in walls do reduce the signals effectiveness, distances of more than one hundred feet are not uncommon between the Receiver and Emitter Units. In this scenario, you could have the devices you want to control in one room and multiple TVs in the same or other rooms and behind closed doors. Compact at less than 2 inches in diameter. You place the IR Receiver Unit near your additional TV or attach the IR Receiver cable to your additional TV if you want to hide the IR Unit. Your remote's signal will then be received and transmitted via Radio Frequency (RF) to the Emitter Unit near the device(s) you want to control. Installation Instructions: Step 1- Place the IR Receiver unit and IR Receiver cable in your desired location (ex: TV, Display). Step 2- Plug the IR receiver cable into the IR receiver jack on the receiver unit. Step 3- Connect the power supply to the add-on IR Receiver unit. When you power up the add-on Receiver unit it should sync with the existing IR Emitter unit to control your devices. This product works with AT&T Uverse but does not work with Dish, Direct TV, Tivo or the Cisco 4642HDC STB.Keep in mind, that if you try to control your system from two places at the same time with different remotes, you may create conflicts.
