Works exactly as described
This cable works perfectly, however ensure you make the correct choice between a 'forward' cable versus a 'reverse' cable - although they look the same they are not interchangeable:A forward cable takes four SATA hard drives and combines the signals into one mini SAS connection to be plugged into a motherboard / mini SAS HBA / mini SAS RAID controller.A reverse cable takes one mini SAS connection from a storage backplane and divides it into four SATA connections to be plugged into a motherboard / SATA HBA / SATA RAID controller.

Beware!
Have ordered four of these cables over a period of about three years. Each time I receieve the product it is defective. I have then ordered a repalcement which works fine. I can only assume that the faulty cable is placed back in stock and sent out to me again on my next order. It's just happened again! Not happy.

Bien faire attention avec un 2nd produit STARTECK par qui peut mal fonctionner avec un systeme RAID, l'autre reference n'est conseillee

Pacco perfetto. Spedizione come da specifiche. Il cavo fornito è il modello richiesto, funziona perfettamente, ho potuto collegare la mia scheda madre al mio backplane.
