I thought that this was maybe a bit extravangant in view of my other solid type baskets for my pressure cooker. I have used it so much. It dishwasher so well, for a start. It is roomy to steam those items that are awkward and useful even for when I do not intend to use pressure. It just does the job 1. Washing veg before cooking, saving getting a colander out for two of us, and then cooks. 2. It can be used in quite high temperatures in the oven for dry chips, if using the heat anyway for other items. 3. Cookng pasta 4. Cooking and then cooling under cold water vegetables for batch freezing fresh vegetables and after draining, re-using in the same hot water. 5. Pops a few extra bits that take little cooking, like mange tout, over the top of an open pan and lifts up easily to stir that food under. I could keep adding but you get the picture. Fits my pressure cooker well but also other pans I have. The depth is a real bonus. I hardly use my steamer set now, or my colander. Great item!

I bought this some months ago,but today is the first time I’ve used it.I was looking for a basket for my Instant Pot that would allow me to easily remove the cooked item from the liquid without things falling off, ( I have a shallower basket were this happens) First I used it full of potatoes lifted the basket out emptied it into a jug to mash then refilled it with swede and back in the pot to cook, very easy and quick just what I wanted.The basket mesh is fairly light weight so I wouldn’t use it for everything.I don’t find this basket a good choice for washing by hand I’m sure a dishwasher user would have no problems.

The steamer basket is well made and fits the 'Instant Pot' perfectly. The handle is very good so is easy to lift the basket in and out. However, to my mind the mesh is unnecessarily too small which makes it difficult to clean. Anything you cook in it, i.e. potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, which tend to break down a bit during cooking, get caught in the fine mesh when you lift the basket out and it takes more than a good rinse to remove bits. If the mesh was larger it would still function perfectly well but would be a damn sight easier to clean.

Great basket for the instant pot (and useful for other things too!). I rate it 4.5 stars as it did not come with any indication if it was dishwasher safe.

This basket is made of metal mesh which allows for liquid to flow through which can be an advantage. Tooth brushes past their usefulness can be good to clean the mesh.The other type of basket, metal with small holes may stop the liquid from flowing in when filled but are easier to clean from sediment. Both types have their good points. I like to have one of each.

Fits perfect in the instantpot. Easy to lift with the handel. Great for eggs and steaming vegetables and fish.

Very good product. Im using this in my crock pot pressure cooker and load it up with veg making it easy to lift out and keep veg from water so as to steam. Great addition to pressure cooker to give it many more uses.
