Like the other 1 star reviews on here, I received mine end of August, installed it, worked fine until today. Dead, right when I had a cake for the oven. There was no warning, like delayed heating time or anything like the original GE part, which lasted a good 12+ years. Decided to order a GE OEM now, because if I have to replace this one every 3 months at $25 a pop, it is not worth it. I bake daily in my home oven, so maybe if you are a casual baker, 1-2 times a week, it may last longer, but if you use the oven 6-7 times a week, please do yourself a favor and get the OEM. At least they have a 1 year warranty.I will say, this product is super easy to install, but that is just because this is a super easy part to replace, so very easy no matter what brand you get.

I have an old GE range and the oven started misbehaving. Strong smell of burnt propane, started to sound like one of those propane heaters in the shape of a jet engine, and the burner would take a long time to light. Upon inspection the burner had developed a 1/4 inch hole right over the hot surface igniter with some debris touching the igniter. I had repaired a smaller hole in that burner 7-1/2 years ago and replaced the igniter at that time with one I bought from AppliancePartsPros. That burner repair finally failed on Christmas eve with a prime rib waiting in the fridge to be cooked on Christmas day. I don't live in the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from here, so I end up repairing just about everything, this time with special incentive provided by the prime rib. I patched the burner up, and the burner lit, but it took a minute or often longer to light up and the oven would behave erratically. It did last long enough to get that prime rib cooked though. I read that the slow ignition was a symptom of an igniter failing so I ordered this igniter and a replacement burner. Problem solved. Oven now lights up quickly. This item comes with the ceramic wire nuts that I did have to use. For all I know the connector that comes on the igniter may have fit the original range connector, but I had to cut that connector off for the first replacement 7-1/2 years ago and therefore have no idea if it would have fit. I cut the connector off the new igniter and used the provided ceramic wire nuts. They are a little big to join the original wire and the igniter wire, so I had to strip extra wire and twist and fold them together to make the splice big enough for the wire nuts to hold. Not normally a big deal but a bit of a hassle working through the broiler compartment at the back of the range. Nonetheless, I was pleased with the quick delivery, and am pleased with the performance of this igniter so far. I hope with the concurrent burner replacement that it will last for many years. I speculate, without solid evidence, that the hole in the burner put too much flame on the igniter and caused it to fail. However, it is quite possible that the extra heat from the ignitor, which glows as long as the oven is turned on, caused the burner material to degrade and a hole develop. That's my diagnosis and it's probably worth everything you've paid for it.I am not an appliance repairman, so please won't write and ask if this igniter will fit an ABC model XYZ range. Find your model number and serial number, locate the igniter that claims it fits what you have.

Our gas oven wasn’t heating or holding a temperature and we were getting strong smell of gas because previous ignitor wasn’t working. This was surprisingly easy to install and now the oven is running again, no need to replace.

Stopped working in 6 months.
