Having a number of Ring cameras I use the 'Alexa show me the xxxx' command and voila the Ring Camer is shown on the screen.Its also great for just listening to the radio and as a bed side clock radio.The screen is clear and crisp. The sound isnt world beating but for the soze of unit its more than acceptable.I bought this as an Amazon refurb for £35. A bargain at that price as when it arrived you would never know it wansnt a brand new item.5 stars

Sound failed. Trying to work out how to return it as only option seems to be a Royal Mail home collection and this is not an option for us without leaving it on a doorstep.

This is a great gadget once it gets started, it seems very slow to start up plays a good music list not used it to watch anything yet, but value for money.

Bought 2 refurbished Alexas' so I can communicate easily w/ my elderly parents in Portugal (I'm in the UK). I've been using it for about 1 month now, and I'm happy so far. I also wanted something really easy for them to use, as they have struggled with other tablets, ipads in the past, as they are not tech educated.These are refurbished devices, older models and I can tell because they take a while to connect the calls, or even to action the instructions I give them, but they work, I'm not expecting anything else from these. Again, as long I can video call my parents I'm happy.The image and sound quality is not as good as a brand new tablet, but works well. Cannot complain.One of the devices came with a pixelated line on the screen (see photo), but besides this, it works well.Since both devices are connected to my Amazon account, I can manage the devices from my side. I also made sure both devices can only communicate with each other, to make sure my parents can only get calls from me, no one else.I was able to set both devices to Portuguese, and taught my mother basic instructions so she knows how to use the Alexa. Sadly, they only have Portuguese from Brasil, but again, we can work w/ this.You can "make calls" between devices or "Drop-Ins". "Drop-Ins" means you start a video call, and the call gets connected and active without the other person on the other side having to pick up.A video call requires the other person to click answer, to start the call. I usually start a "Drop-Ins" w/ my parents and I see them straight away on their lounge."Drop-Ins" are possible between Alexas, or from my Alexa app (which I have on my phone and on my Kindle fire), to an Alexa.But if you try to"Drop-In" on my phone or kindle fire, it comes through as a video call, that I would have to click Answer to connect the call.I did some research to make sure these would work in a different country and as far as I understand, as long the device is connected to wi-fi, it doesn't matter where is located in the world, it will work.I am happy w/ the purchase and ff they last 1 year, I'll be happy.If they carry on working like this, I'll be happy to upgrade to a more recent Alexa model.

Bought on a sale so this was excellent value for money. Not sure I’d want to pay full price but £42 was a steal.Good sound quality and looks great, though not sure we’ll really use the screen on it.Simple enough to set up.

Okay this was a refurbished echo. Came in an Amazon package box... Inside was a blue Amazon box still sealed. Took the echo out of the box, plugged it in with the plug provided, didn't bother reading the instructions... And boom it came on... Now I must say that the echo had a protective thing over in the box, again seal not broken. No marks or blemishes on the unit. It looked brand new... I'd even go as far as to say it was brand new. The only issue I had was.... The label on the box was french... I turned on the echo and it was all french... I had to keep taking pictures and Google lens translate to understand the instructions on screen... And may I point out that this was even after I had selected English as the language and Alexa even put my location and address on the screen... Anyway... Small obstacle... Thank you Google .... When eventually finished translating... And finished set up... It so far appears to doing everything in English... Not tried the camera yet, but the sound is fine, the mic works when you give the... Alexa play my playlist etc.... so... Even though it's french... I think it's brand new and not refurbished and seems to working as it should be doing 👌
