Nitram 700334 Charcoal

The plastic handle is comfortable to hold and of sturdy construction. The tightening ring is the easiest of all pencil/charcoal holders that I have tried to tighten securely.I bought this predominantly to make use of the last inch or two of Nitram charcoal sticks as I find them too short to use at that length, I'm sure most would agree that there is nothing quite like drawing with a new length of charcoal, and with the Stylus, the feel and expressivity of distance from the page is possible at all times.It is well balanced, with the centre of mass placed at around 1/3 of the way down the black plastic handle. When drawing there is no need to counteract the weight one way or another.As regards the price, it is relatively expensive but is, I suppose, a luxury item for charcoal drawing. This product is not particularly critical to the output of quality work or maintaining good technique, I bought it for convenience and I was willing to pay the price. There are cheaper alternatives but the weight, feel and strength of the Stylus is more pleasant than other holders that I have tried.

I was looking forward to receiving this item but was very disappointed with the quality and the lightweight materials used. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I like the different charcoals for drawing with but bought this primarily for the stylus. The stylus is great and I prefer holding the charcoal with it as it's more comfortable and keeps hands clean. So far 5 stars. The price for the charcoals, one stylus and 4 coloured buttons is ludicrous. I was disappointed to see that I lot of what I paid has gone into what looks like very expensive packaging. -1*. I will be using 2 of the charcoals most of the time, so 2 stylus's would be great. Have we the opportunity to purchase the stylus on its own? No. -1*. Will I want to break my drawing reverie to switch charcoals and pop a different colour button on the end of the stylus. No way. -1*. In short, I think it's a great product but expensive for what it is and not well thought through from an artist's perspective.

I may be missing something but I cannot see what the fuss is about with Nitram charcoal. It doesn't suit my style at all and is ludicrously overpriced.

The process was straightforward and quality brilliant. What’s not to like.

Have written very few reviews but very disappointed with this and actually feel conned, recognise usual quality of Nitram products although useable,despite having to force the square profile charcoal in, but the cost of this is laughable,

Product has been packaged despite being damaged. This damage didn't happen in transit, the charcoal was already damaged before it was put in the box. Nitram need to look at their QA.
