I’ve had my binoculars for about 20 years, but always thought they should have a tripod thread. An oversight by Canon in my opinion.The same day I realised a universal adapter was available was the day I ordered this! I ordered this for whale/dolphin spotting trips off the coast of Anglesey and have to say it does work a treat, having an Arca mount is a godsend and once clamped up it is rock solid.I have various Binoculars and night vision kit and it seems happy to fit them all so I would describe it as universal though your experience may vary.Whilst I got this for free through the Vine program I do feel it is a little pricey, but on reflection if you are a frequent user then the price is justified.How I Rate- ***** Don’t think, just buy it!- **** Nothing to complain about, I’d spend my own money on this.- *** Does what it should but there may be better alternatives- ** Problems or issues encountered that outweigh any benefits.- * Run for the door!I only order Items that I or my family have a genuine use for and as such you can be sure that they are tested in real world warts and all situations. I picked the FANAUE Binocular Tripod Mount Adapter to mount my (very old, but great optics) binoculars onto a lightweight travel tripod, allowing me to 'spot' wildlife in local woodland from the comfort of my field shelter - with my camera mounted on a tripod 'looking' to the same spot.The clamp adjusts perfectly to grasp on of the optic tubes on the binoculars, and the ARCA plate enable rapid mount and dismount of the binoculars.The alloy construction feels strong and very rigid, while remaining lightweight.Looking forward to Spring and hiding & waiting for local wildlife photo outings.
