The top of the dispenser got stuck and no product could come out. After applying extra pressure to free the top of the dispenser, product came shooting out the back and exploded all over my bathroom. Super depressing a for $45 scrub!

Having grown up in the bilingual city of Montreal, CANADA, I couldn't help but notice the French writings on the front of the packaging, which proves the genuineness of this being made in multilingual nation of Switzerland. I thought the larger than typical description fonts are really thoughtful, as most of us needing some skincare help have been around for a while, and like our skins, our sights ain't how they used to be. Upon removing the bottle out of its packaging, with the predominantly white bottle w/ purple writing, you'd notice that this facial scrub is much heavier than others you might have used before. I confess I am a bit mystified by the super positive reviews. I am old enough to have "mature" skin, but it's in good shape, due to years of taking care of it, a lifestyle that keeps me out of the sun, and, frankly, lucky DNA (thanks, Mom!). It is normal with a tendency toward slight dryness during cold winters, with no acne, major wrinkling, or other concerns. I have used scrubs for decades. This is definitely not one I will stick with. Why isn't it a favorite? The main problem is that I find the grit far too abrasive. It's not a matter of rubbing too hard, as the grit itself is so rough that a feather-light touch still makes me feel like I've rubbed my face with rocks. Add to this that the base is about as easy to rinse off as cold cream, and you have a product that is not for me, as I strongly prefer products that rinse off cleanly without leaving a greasy feeling behind. Did it make my skin look good? No better than it normally does after using my regular scrub. Your preferences and results may vary, but this one is not for me.

I don't think this is any better, or worse, than the other gazillion exfoliating products on the market. It comes with the usual adjectives and recommendations from people with a lot of initials after their name. I'm not criticizing Alchimie Forever for this because we consumers seem to expect the hype.It does an OK job of removing dry/dead skin tissue and moisturizing but doing that isn't exactly rocket science and, at least for me, it can be done for a lot less money with about the same results.It's OK, but I'm not going to rush out and buy a barrel of this product.

I’ve really gotten into finding cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, etc. that I really like. Thankfully, or maybe not, I’ve found quite a few I’ve liked. I was offered this one, and I was more than happy to try it. I read the instructions, and I used it on my clean, dry face. Once I was done rinsing if off and drying it, my face felt soft, smooth, and clean. I was actually surprised at how nice my face felt. I am definitely going to use this until gone. I’ll have to evaluate how I feel once it comes time to buy it again only because of the price. If it was cheaper, I’d definitely purchase it. Recommend.
