Super cute!

Got this to donate to Toys for Tots and it looked super cute! all the pieces seemed there and it looked like it kids would have alot of fun with it. Overall the build seemed sturdy for being a small inexpensive toy. Its definitely educational and has some really cool papers to go with it. I would recommend this for Kindergarten and up kids. The pieces are small and to really enjoy it you need to read some of the steps

Fantastic Puzzle Activity for Young Kids!

The Learning Resources STEM Explorers Pixel Art Challenge is an absolute hit in our house! Although it’s recommended for ages 5+, we got it for our 4-year-old daughter who loves puzzles, and she absolutely loves this activity. It’s easy enough for her to do on her own and keeps her engaged for a long time. The set is super easy to assemble, and the quality is great. I also love that it comes with multiple picture options, so there’s plenty of variety to keep her entertained. The brightly colored foam blocks make it easy to see and create vibrant, fun designs.Another huge plus is that the blocks are foam, not magnetic, so we don’t have to worry about magnets being around our younger child. This is such a thoughtful and safe design feature.Highly recommend this for any little one who enjoys puzzles, challenges, and learning through play. Great value for your money and an overall wonderful product!

Great for independent play.

Bought this for our grandkids to use while camping in our 5th wheel. The 5 year old especially loved it.! It was his activity of choice almost every evening when everyone was visiting or playing games. Even when he woke up early he would get it out to work on.It does have lots of tiny blocks so be cautious of choking hazard. Also, you should do some pre-teaching regarding clean up so you don't end up losing all the pieces. We talked about it before he played the first time and he was really good at picking up all the pieces. His older cousins also enjoyed it!Love it so much am buying a second for my classroom.

Entertaining but cubes are not square.

The set has plenty of challenges and a good number of cubes in varying colors. All in all it is a great idea and I expect hours of educational entertainment for my kinder. The downside is the cubes in the set are not square, so you have to pay extra attention to make sure you are putting them down right so they hold in place well and the end result looks good. My son (five) was getting irritated by this and doesn't yet have the motivation to figure out how to "do it right", so unless your child has a long attention span, it might be best to wait until they are six or seven.I also didn't realize that the cubes are foam, so I expect them to not hold up very well and get lost easily. If I had read that in the description earlier, I would have purchased a different set.The cubes all came together in a resealable bag, though I wish we were given multiple bags to keep the colors sorted to make building/design a bit easier. There also isn't really enough of each color to make a solid background around the completed designs, so having an extra ten of each color would have been more ideal.

Great!

I purchased this product while on sale and for that price I would rate it 5 stars! If paying full price, I feel as though I’d be disappointed by the fact that it only had 1 board included. With that being said, it is high quality and easy to use! The colors pop against the board and my students love to use it! As an indoor recess toy, it is super educational and helps kids use fine motor skills and critical thinking.

Great concept, but lacks quality

I purchased this as a homeschooling mom of five as a fun way to teach coordinates, columns, rows, critical thinking, etc. While the idea is great when retro designs are becoming more popular, the quality of the materials is lacking. The tiny pixel pieces are flimsy, react to static too easily, and vary in size, leading to frustration when attempting to place them according to the design. Plastic pieces would have been more consistent. Even with the aid of tweezers, it was challenging for my 6 yo who is quite adept at working with small pieces such as Legos.

Perfect alternative activity for a Lego loving kid!

Such a fun activity for my Lego loving 5 year old. I wanted something other than just legos, and this was perfect!

Strewing item.

Great for my morning strewing! My 6 and 4yr old really enjoy this little activity and it conveniently comes in a little zip lock bag for easy storage.
