Insta360 Mic Air Transmitter, 7.9g Ultralight, Wireless Microphone, Noise Cancelling, Vlog, Streaming, Compatible with Insta360 X5/X4/Ace Pro 2

The Mic Air works really well. I initially had problems pairing it with my X5, but a firmware update fixed that, I am now running v1.4.2 of the firmware.I tested the receiver with my An droid phone (Android v16), and it works well there too. There is an added benefit I didn't realize, you can connect two microphones to the receiver. Nice for doing interviews.I've been very pleased with the audio quality and the battery life. I recommend. The price is good as well.On the "cons" side, the microphone is very small and a little fidgity in large hands

Super compact and great sound quality. The mic connects to the X5 seamlessly and has multiple mounting options. It also includes a wind buffer ring and compact carrying case. You have options to select either sound track from the onboard mic or this BT mic which improves functionality. I have only used a few times so I am not sure of the overall battery life, but it made it through one X5 extended battery and charged quickly out of the box. I am concerned about losing it, especially when recording on a motorcycle or OneWheel, so I would prefer if there was a snap-mount or mounting loop for a safety lanyard. The magnet mount seems strong but it would still be easy to knock off and lose - its only about the diameter of a US Quarter.

My Original 1 Star Review:Not impressed with bluetooth performance. Would not connect to any of my Insta360 devices or iPhone which had the latest firmware and work well with other bluetooth devices. Read online that some people had similar issues and products were replaced an worked well. I did not want to bother so just returned.My Revised Review: I returned the item and did not want to mess with it BUT Insta360 Customer Service proactively reached out to see if they could make it right. They did! I ended up getting the transmitter and receiver combo as it was the best for my use case. It has been working Great. I have had no issues using with my iPhone Blackmagic App (using the receiver) and Bluetooth standalone transmitter with the Insta360 X4 and the ACE 2 Pro. All instances met my needs and worked great. The customer service rep that handled my case was GREAT!

Sound was okay, when waking around seemed to work fine, when riding my motorcycle it never cools get the noise canceling right, it was either all wind noise or cutting out completely, best of all when I'd made the decision to return it or feel of the magnetic base and was lost forever. The magnetic thing probably works fine when waking around, useless without some way to tether it when using during action as they're no way to prevent it from falling. So now I have neither a poor sounding product or a product to return for a refund. Don't get if your going to use this during any kind of activity in which it could fall because it will.

I bought to connect to my iPhone and acepro2 camera. However it will not connect to iPhone if your insta360 camera is close by.

Works perfectly for my insta 360x4, solid sound and no wind noise highly recommend

I have only had the opportunity to use this wireless mic once and I am very happy with it. I use it in my garage to do a review on something I had the door open while the landscapers were cutting the grass and using a blower across the street. When I went edit my review I didn’t hear any noise from them working . I did use the provided filter over the mic. It also controlled my camera starting and stopping recording. Very happy and can’t wait to use it again!
