Corelle Vitrelle 6-Piece Salad Plates Set Triple Layer Glass and Chip Resistant, 8-1/2-Inch Lightweight Round Plates, Winter Frost White

I got my first set of Corelle dishes in September 2004. They're over 20 years old and still in great shape! The ONLY time I've had one break is when I had it in the freezer for several hours and dropped it. Totally my fault and not Corelle's!I needed some smaller plates and wanted Corelle brand. My original set just has the big dinner plates and bowls. I came across these and ordered four sets to have 24 plates. These are the perfect size for smaller meals and/or children!! We've had them for nearly 8 months now, dropped them so many times, and none have broken. They do not scratch easily at all, they get really clean in the dishwasher but the dishwasher doesn't beat them up at all like some dishes. I love the pure clean white color of these too.I will always buy Corelle dishes because the quality is unmatched!!

Really like this Corelle Vitrelle 6-piece salad plate set.Like the thin and lightweight, but strong design, the white frost color, and the easy-cleanup since the plates have a smooth bottom without a protruding ridge running around the plate like most ceramic plates.

I ordered and received the two sets of 6 that I ordered and they were packed very well when received with no breakage. I’m very happy with these 8-1/2” plates. I’m hoping the 38 piece service for 12 that I also ordered comes in with no broken pieces. These two sets of lunch size plates will then complete the full 12-piece set that I am replacing my heavy stoneware with. Very happy. So far these 12 plates take up very little space in my cabinet. My hubby and I are elderly so we love how lightweight they are. I had a Corelle set about 50 years ago and didn’t realize just how good they were until I traded my stonewear for them. Wish I had kept my old set.UPDATE: Today, I received the 38 piece set and the four serving bowls I was expecting delivery on, and I can tell you they were very well packed. I unpacked, hand washed and inspected each piece and there were absolutely no cracks, chips or imperfections on any of them. The shipping was a little delayed because of the snow storm a couple of days ago which dumped 9 inches of snow here in Amarillo.I am so very well pleased with this set. Can't wait to add pieces as I can. The set takes up only a quarter of the space my old stoneware did! I'm now a Corelle lady for life!

Beautiful in WHITE. They go with anything. Plain, simple, back to "simplicity" for me. They seem on the "thin" side, but I've had Corelle before and they should last a while.

Love these plates. Nice & light & easy to clean.

Best plates, lightweight but strong. Not easy to chip and can handle rough handling without immediately breaking. These are a great size for lunch portions. My only gripe is they’re so slippery when I’m handwashing them. I use dawn dish soap and latex gloves and without any paint or markings like my other Corelle have they can just slide out of your hand. Still love them though.

We bought our first Corelle Vitrelle Winter Frost dishware about 30 years ago and have been pleased that this minimalist pattern has always been readily available when I needed to add to my collection. As grandchildren became more numerous we've had to expand our collection. 30 years later the new pieces are still identical to the originals. As they say, if it works, don't fix it. It is also easy to match with other manufacturer's white ware if you need an item Corelle doesn't make such as a lazy Susan for veggie trays and dip and other oddities. My wife and I have been through numerous sets of glass drinkware because we can be quite clumsy however we've never had to replace a single Corelle dish due to wear or breakage. Tough as nails and the oldest dishes still look as new as recent purchases.
