Star Wars: Legacy of the Force IV - Exile

“A conflict for Ben Skywalker to choose between Luke and Jacen”
I personally like this book much more than Bloodlines and Tempest because this is written by Aaron Allston, which is also a reason why I like Betrayal. The book focuses much more on Ben and his “mission”, rather than Jacen. The cover, which doesn’t matter for many people, excluding myself, is great. You’ve got Leia holding the hilt of her activated lightsaber horizontally (the lightsaber is blue, which is the same colour in The Rise of Skywalker) and Han with his iconic attire and blaster. We get Alema Rar again, trying to assassinate Han and Mara to complete her Balance, and Lumiya plays games like Palpatine. Lando Calrissian makes an appearance for a larger part of the book along with Wedge Antilles, and his daughter Myri and wife Iella. If you have read the other Legacy of the Force books then I don’t need to tell you that you must read this book.

Great book.
Great book from the expanded universe. Follows in a great way with previous books and creates fantastic moments for following books from the series.

So much better than the new Disney cannon
Loving this series, and seeing the change in the Solo/Skywalker families. So much better than the new Disney cannon.

Excellent Read and follow up to Tempest
I just finished EXILE and it was GREAT... The interaction between the characters was the same as in the movies. The way it moved to the climax of the book, was at times slow and others to fast, but it was a good read over all.I still do not like the references to the Dark Nest Trilogy, I did not read it so I kept getting lost in translation, the same way I did in Tempest. The cliffhanger was awesome, eventhough I already knew who the sacrifice would be. If you read carefully and knowing who the sacrifice would be, the book gives you hints of the identity.Star Wars fan this is one of the GOOD ones, go for it.... but read Dark Nest Trilogy if you do not want to get lost

Of Fallout, Struggle, And Potential Sacrifices
While, I wouldn't say this one really grabbed me, right at first, it did continue to build on the previous installmen(s), and we really get a sense of how far "between a rock and hard place", Leia and Han, have been put in following their actions in "Tempest". I rather like the idea of Ben being forced to choose sides, and it's been interesting so far, watching him struggle with right and wrong, his parents and Jacen. Can't wait to see how it all plays out, and who or what, speaking of Jacen, will his sacrifice be. On the whole it was a very good addition to the series, as the war is beginning to really shape up and to say nothing of the fallout regarding several characters actions, which has led up to this point, but I have the feeling this is only beginning. Now, on to the next one.
