Broke and bricked within 2 days of usage.
Just ordered this right before leaving on my trip to Bali, while it worked just fine for the first 2 days and even helped me film footage of river Rafting. The Lens protector built into the camera broke, not while going through any activity but when I was filming with it on the streets using a handheld tripod attachment, couldn't find any replacement protectors, the hero7 black protector won't work on the 7 silver and now I'm stuck with a camera that can't do underwater recording might have to rent one for scuba diving tomorrow, isn't being rugged and hardcore the whole point of go pro's !? What the actual Frick ?!Also experienced too many firmware crashes while using it, the camera would just freeze and not respond unless you restarted it.While the shots and videos are great, it's a useless little gray brick that cost me 20k for 2 days worth of use 😑I'm gonna be so mad if this isn't replaced or I receive a full refund on the product soon as I'm back from the trip.Update. Couldn't replace it since GoPro's membership doesn't work in India, saw no point in trying to haggle with the service centers, electronics with water damage are as dead as a fish out of water. 26k underwater. 🤷🏽♂️

Good one from GOPRO... Satisfied.
Good camera with superb perfomance. If you are a highly profiled professional, then go for gopro hero 7 black. Otherwise, i recommend silver. Its awesome and the main advantage to be noted is gps stickers... I love it.

GoPro Silver 7 - Decent enough !!
Picture Quality and Video quality is excellent. 4K videos are crisp. Battery life is pretty good too. I was on budget hence went for Silver, its a value for money product. Didn't wanted to spend 30k plus on a action camera. GP7 Silver video stabilization is above average not as great as Black !, however it meets my needs as i use the cam for my personal trips. If you have that extra 10k you can go for GP7 Black if you want that hypersmooth stabilization.

Good for the price
Got the camera for 19k on offer so quite good for the pocket as compared to the original prise.Video quality is upto the standards of GoPro but be aware that it won't give features like the black modle.Manual settings, superview, hyperlapse, time warp, and many more features are missing. I suggest you buy a the black modle or dji action camera.

Not at all happy with the money I wasted
Dont waste your money, you'll end up loving your phone camera more...It hangs.. you cannot change the quality of the camera yourself.. comes with only 4k recording.. settings doesn't provide much help...Confused you while connecting to your phone if it wants Wifi or Bluetooth...Go for Go pro higher models or DGI osmo pocket.. there is no Inbetween

Know what you are buying
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Don't buy a Hero 7 Silver with the expectation that you are buying a cheaper version of the Black. In many ways, these are two different action cameras, although they do share the same quality of build and superb image quality for still photos and video. If you buy the silver you must appreciate that you are not getting all of the functionality of the black, such as removable battery and mic input, neither of which are available on the silver. Nor do you get all of the video functions, but, you know what - you get enough, plus a fully waterproof casing, really good image rendition and stabilisation and enough functions to make a good film. The ability to zoom in on the image helps greatly with interior shots, avoiding convergence you necessarily get with extreme wide angle and time lapse too. The short test video was shot in 4k, which is a bit limited, but I find shooting in 1080 is good for many reasons, such as 60p, quicker video editing and rendering, easier to use slow motion clips and the image quality is really good enough unless projecting on a very large screen. I have used a number of different action cameras over the years, some better than others, but this is my first GoPro and I am suitably impressed, even though I still use others for different reasons. Battery life can be improved by using a portable USB charger - I have a solar powered one - that can extend battery life considerably and you can buy into a range of accessories that can enable filming in any conceivable situation. I think that this camera does represent reasonably good value for money, although I still use an action cam that cost considerably less: on balance, the GoPro gives you a whole lot better quality and functionality, so a good 5 star action camera.

Hero 7 Silver- the mid-range option
I bought the Hero7 Silver as a gift for my son. He also has an original Hero, and this new model is vastly improved from that. The original Hero had the accessory mount as part of the camera body, and unfortunately, this broke after a short time, so he was unable to mount the camera to a chest harness, tripod, etc. any longer. With the Hero7, the mount is part of the housing, so if this gets damaged, then the housing just needs to be replaced. The Hero7 Silver shaves £100 off the price of the Hero 7 Black, but it's closer to the Hero 5 Black than the Hero 6 Black, since it lacks GoPro’s GP1 chip that powered some big image quality improvements. The voice control on the Hero7 Silver doesn't always work well, but I'm not sure if this is any better on the Hero7 Black.Still, in retrospect, I probably should have purchased the Hero7 Black as there as many significant advantages; The Hero7 Silver still captures 4K video, but does so at a lower 30fps. When it comes to slow-motion video, the Hero7 Silver sticks to 2x with 1080p video at 60fps. Still photos, meanwhile, are captured at 10 megapixels with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), rather than the Hero7 Black’s HDR. Also, you can use an external mic with the Hero7 Black, which you can't with the White fo Silver, and the Hero7 Silver doesn't have swappable batteries.

Fantastic introduction to the GoPro range.
After reading several reviews on this site and others I settled with the 7 silver model.Good points.1) Stabilisation.I can not fault the stabilisation capabilities of this camera! I have purchased a few cheap action cameras now with so called ‘stability features’ but this was truly an amazing improvement over budget cameras.2) Storage capacity. As this camera can take a 128Gb microSD card (not included) you can shoot hours of 4K video which I have found is more than plenty. The camera has a time lapse feature which greatly utilises the extra space to make some amazing condensed videos of your adventures. Also great fun to time lapse a long car journey!3) The appThe camera utilities an app that has many features and makes a truly great addition to the hardware. The app has the ability to control the camera so it is ideal to record shots of yourself and see how the photo/video will look - this is opposed to trying to figure out what your camera is truly looking at!Bad points.1) The battery is not removable, if you want this capability I suggest you take a look at the black models. If you feel you need more battery life ensure you carry a decent power bank with you for ‘on the go’ charging.2) The charging cable.I feel the included charging cable is very short! Something to consider if your charging port is behind furniture. Also the product only comes with a USB cable and not a mains adapter.3) Software freeze.Occasionally you may be the victim of the camera ‘freezing up’ sometimes a simple hold the power button can reboot the camera. However, I have faced the issue of it completely freezing and unfortunately you have to wait for the battery to go flat!On other models this is remedied by removing the battery, but as stated previously you cannot do this on the silver.Summary.Overall this product is an amazing camera. If you have only owned a budget action camera you will see a huge difference in quality. The best improvement was noted when comparing budget cameras to this one when using it underwater. The underwater shots are almost as good as the site boasts about!Significantly more expensive than other action cameras on the market but the price increase is well justified.
