Walter the Baker/Ready-to-Read Level 2 (The World of Eric Carle)

Christmas gift, cute storyline. Child and her mom loved the book, it’s now a favorite! (Author has others as well.)

Small but still acceptable. I like the larger one with big prints. The smaller Walter the baker book has font size too big for the smaller pages and the pictures are smaller obviously.

We make pretzels often during the winter with groups of family and friends, so our granddaughter really identified with Walter's work. She almost has it memorized, I've read it to her so often! While the invention of the pretzel in this book doesn't match the facts on most internet sites, it is a fun way to think of a new food being created through sheer frustration!

I used this for a first grade economics lesson in class. It worked well and the students loved the book.

slimmed down version based on a read level scale. Not immediately clear that it was a slimmed down version (certain words omitted based on the scale) so didn't notice until it arrived and it was different than the one it replace

A great buy of a family favorite. A great addition for any children's library. My kids have always loved Eric Carle and our youngest was excited to receive this for her birthday.

Cute story, with predictably adorable Carle illustrations.

Great Book!

他のエリック・カールの本と比べると仕掛けもないのであまり期待はしていませんでしたが、内容のすばらしさに感動しました。主人公のWalterはパン作りにかかせないミルクを全部こぼしてしまうというアクシデントに見舞われます。しかし、すばらしい発想で「王様をもうならせる」新しいパンを作ってしまうというお話です。多くのことを教えてくれる一冊です。

購入してよかったです。ストーリーがおもしろいし、絵が素敵です。
