It is way better than I expected. And can’t beat the price.

I needed a good solution to sharpen my chainsaw chains while cutting down a tree and dissecting it's stump. Hand-filing the chains would have added an extra day to my work, whereas with this I can quickly set my tooth angles and amount to grind off. Can work through 2x chainsaw chains in under 5 minutes.It does take a bit more material off the chain that a traditional manual filing, but considering how much time it saved me, I would be willing to buy more chains when the teeth get too low. So far I've sharpened my two chains a combined total of 5 times and they chew through wood like there's no tomorrow. Definitely worth the money so long as the motor lasts.I just temporarily clamped mine to my workbench so that I can store it out of the way when not needed or you can permanently bolt it to a surface for continuous use.

I'm in the process of clearing land for a new house build and needed a way to sharpen my chains more efficiently since I have 10 chains and I needed to be able to rotate them out as they get dulled. By no measure is this unit a commercial sharpener. If I were a tree expert/business, cutting down trees every day then I would look for a better sharpener. That said, it definitely is a big change from a clamp on, file sharpener. Once set up I can do a whole 20 inch chain in 7-10 minutes. So, if you are looking for something for just around the house sharpening then this will fit the bill and for not a lot of money.

The first one did not turn on..Returned it got another one,did not make it through sharpening the first chain ! Started fine ,then made whining noise,started losing r.p.m……did not make it through sharpening 1 chain!! Sending back for refund.I am not a novice…..40 years of experience of chainsaw repair and sharpening chains. JUNK!!! I learned my lesson…ordered another brand that I know works…though it costs 234.00 now,the Oregon brand sharpener I had lasted me 25 years before quitting working. So this is why I chose to order this one! I am 65 years old now….I know I will stop working and be worn out before this sharpener quits and dies!!!

It took some adjusting but I finally got it set right. I didn't expect much for a cheep sharper. I've ran several chains through this with mixed results. It is definitely a learning curve.

I was sort of skeptical before I bought this, but after using it now several times I think it works very well. It is quick and easy to use after you set it up initially. I am surprised how quick I can sharpen a chain versus the manual filing method.

Nice little sharpener it is durable plastic and simple to use I was shocked at the quality of it compared to price. I own a farm so I’m running a saw pretty often and have been pleased with the sharpener I would recommend it

Pour le prix, il ne faut pas s’attendre a la meilleure qualité. Il fait amplement la job et pour tester sont fonctionnement. Nécessite quel que petit réglage assez simple a faire. Reste a voir sa durabilité, pour peut être ce racheter un de meilleur qualité par la suite.Rien d’autre a rajouter, qualité prix, il en vaut la peine🤷‍♂️

This grinder comes with a 1/8 wheel, it's ideal for 3/8lp and ok but not great for .325. I put a 3/16 wheel on it and now it does a really good job on regular 3/8 and .325.If it came with a 3/16 wheel I'd give it 5 stars.

I received this on the weekend and promptly sharpened 3 chains that were incredibly dull. It's not that hard to use and once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty quickly. Afterwards, the chain I used cut like butter again - like new. For the cost, this sharpener is well worth the money. I have 2 chains that cost $40 and one that was $20. That's $100 worth of chains that I just sharpened for $60. I'm certain I'll get at least a few more rounds of sharpening out of this rig. I have one more chain that my son hit a bunch of spikes with that I haven't sharpened yet - I'll update once I sharpen that one and test it out.
