I offered this book to many of my pregnant friends. As a new pregnant woman, I needed help and support. When I found this book, I was so reassured. I could really help myself which is a very important skill when in america with at that time no insurance. My birth was incredible. I gave birth naturally to a huge baby, did not rip (use calendula cream as recommended while crowning), was late but used the homeopathic remedies from the book and did not have to get any medication what so ever. This book is a bible for every woman who wants to empower herself and use natural and efficient remedies. Buy this book in a second. You will do yourself a huge favor. Also check out all the other books that are very helpful for all other troubles. Thank you Miranda, you have been in my life for now nearly 8 years!

If you are expecting, a parent, professional or person interested in homeopathy - especially for children, this is a great book. I ordered this book in the mid stages of my interest in homeopathy...now I am at the career stage and I still use this as a secondary reference book. It's very well organized, includes many common childhood illnesses/concerns, clear to understand, has a materia medica section and repertory. It may also be very helpful for specifics regarding children, that may otherwise be more obscure or lacking in other reference books. The author has already extracted many of those specifics, allowing you to have a quick point of reference for diagnosis. Definitely, one of the better books on homeopathy regarding children, allowing focus on their common symptoms and characteristics. This allows you to select their remedy picture more accurately, offering more overall success with homeopathy. Happy reading...

this book is a must for anyone wanting to treat them selves, their family and friends or patients with homeopathy - a safe and very effective method when used correctly! in my experience most homeopathy books out there (unless you are a homeopath) are useless. this book will guide you to the remedy you need. it explains the right method to finding the right remedy and how to use homeopathy correctly. it is user friendly, easy and simple, similar to the books professional homeopaths use, much smaller and simpler to use. if you are pregnant, a mom or a midwife, homeopath or not, you should get this book! I also recommend a book named the homeopathic childbirth manual by Betty Idarius, LM CHom (this is an excellent book for midwives). and Miranda Castro's book The complete homeopathy handbook.I am a student of classic Homeopathy.

i got this book in my second pregnancy, in hope to have better birth experience from my first - and i did!my first birth lasted 3 days, 22 hours in the hospital with epidural, pitocin and more.second birth? 3 hours at home, 25 minutes in the hospital - no drugs at all!i read all the chapters and got into it, and like other people who wrote reviews here - i use it all the time with both my kids, friends, husband and myself.the book is user friendly, you have huge list of complaints and which remedy fit them. and wide description of the symptoms that fit each remedy - to make sure you chose the right one...in our family we try to avoide as much as possible the use of drugs - this book helped us so much!

Absolutely the most helpful pregnancy/baby book ever. After three kids this book has been my savior through all the trials and challenging circumstances that come with being a parent. Ten years later I still use it as a reference for those tricky coughs, colds or headaches the kids come down with and so easy to follow and apply the homeopathic remedy according to Miranda's guidence, this is a real gem.... Love it!!!!

Excellent guide for moms! This book is useful both for moms (treating ourselves) and for baby. And full of lots of other good info. Homeopathy has helped me and my wife (yes we are a gay couple:) many times, and now we are expecting our first baby so I'm sure I will have my nose in this book quite a bit over the next year.

It's a beautiful book. I love the layout and how easy it is to read. It's very non-biased on some of the more heated issues of the day in regards to babies. The information is extensive but not boring. It's more than just a book on medicine, it's a very good primer for any woman that's pregnant or just had a baby.

Really useful book for anyone interested in using homeopathy for pregnancy, babies & children. As with all home prescribing be clear on the pathology you are prescribing for and be aware of when your child needs qualified professional help.
