Worth every penny
I installed this on my 2008 Husaberg FE550 which uses the KTM style weather proof connectors and the install could not have been easier. The interface and touch screen are great and the product feels very robust. I have yet to take this into the woods and give a proper thrashing... The provided handle bar mounts did not really work for me but I was able to use the factory speedo monting pad to install as you see. One of trail techs tripple clamp mounts may be a better option. All in all this seems to be a pretty good example of you get what you pay for.

cool features poor functionality
1st, this is a solid unit and seems to be spot on for the GPS and the other monitoring options it offers rather cool. really, Screen is real bright even in the direct sun. those are the good things,The bad things are,1. Battery life, maybe 1 hr, if not hooked to a battery. And more than once I have had it run down while in the cradle go out to load up some files and poof dead, put it back on the UTV, and turn on the battery. Why you ask because once it is out of the cradle there is no way to use the suppled 12vt cigrett lighter adapter, unless you remove the cradle from your rig as well, and that requires disconnecting all the sensor leads. Or you can do what I did, Buy a second cradle, no not aftermarket… not yet anway 55$ direct.. Very poor design.2. Loading up files. Shocking this cant be done with a cable or the already equipped Bluetooth, and if you want to try an manipulate any waypoints, well lets just say is not something to be done on the fly.3. Tracking a route or multiple waypoints? Nope this one doesn’t, however my cell phone does. … so all is not lost.Load up a route Sure you can and it makes a very pretty line on the map, is sure doesn’t add much value if you are at any speed. Today I used my handle held Garmin because it has a compass function, so I would follow the same track line … and use the Trail tech to monitor all the other cool things it can monitor.I would sum this up like this. :For all the time in R&D they have to make this such a kick butt design it really is not kidding, they failed short on what the unit can do in functionality. Kinda interesting I can track my belt temp, kinda infuriating I can’t track a route, or consecutive waypoints.I am in well north of 600$ on this with the extra cradle….You want one?, Keep an eye on Ebay, I’ll be offloading this to at a discount to get some of my money back in the coming weeks.

Poor customer service
I bought and used a Voyager Pro on a motorcycle trip last August. Even though I'm reviewing it here, I did not buy it through Amazon.I wasn't thrilled with my other GPS's, and after a friend asked me for a recommendation I suggested the Voyager even though it was just on the market. I had a good experience with a Trailtech Vapor on my DR650. He and I both bought Voyager Pro units.First, the tachometer function with the VAPOR worked great on my DR650. So far, neither my friends Voyager on a DR650 nor my Voyager on a Yamaha WR250R has ever worked correctly. The Tach function was a major feature that moved this unit above other GPS's on the market. So onto my trip. When it worked and worked correctly I liked the unit very much, except for the Tach function not working. After just a week it started getting stuck on one screen, I think it was the digital speedo screen, and it would be unresponsive to any button pushes. After 5-30 minutes it would start operating normally. After 3 weeks the unit stopped charging, and I wasn't able to use it the last couple of weeks of the trip. Afterwards I directly contacted Trailtechs customer service, and never received any response at all. I found a thread on a large ADV motorcycle website, and a number of guys said they had similar issues, it was a charging issue, and Trailtech had issued them new mounts. One member seemed to represent the manufacturer on many posts, and I contacted him about getting the same kind of service. He did respond, but after several months with a small number of messages exchanged between us, no action had transpired. After that, about 3 months later I did receive an email from their customer service, and he wanted me to send him the unit but had no interest in replacing the mount. Unfortunately I was moving, the unit was in storage, and I have not yet had a good opportunity to send it to them. Frankly I have lost interest and have moved on, I expect to sell it.
