I had high hopes for this inexpensive little HDMI switch but for me it had one fatal flaw. When I first installed the switch everything worked well (switching worked as expected and the picture quality on my 1080p TV was fine) with my three HDMI connected TV recorders and bluray players.However, I bought it so that I could also connect a Raspberry Pi and a Tinker Board and to this end I purchased a set of three Amazon Basics HDMI cables and this is where the problem became clear. I plugged my Pi into one of the switch sockets and switched on the Pi but nothing appeared on the screen.Since I knew both my Raspberry Pis worked fine, but neither gave a picture, I assumed the problem must be a faulty cable or perhaps a faulty socket on the HDMI switch. I tried all sorts of combinations of devices and cables to try to isolate the fault, and in the end discovered that the fault lay with the switch itself. When I switched off the Pi and then connected the same HDMI cable to my Tinker Board and powered that on, all was well and a picture appeared. When I plugged my laptop into the same socked with a different HDMI cable, all was well. In short, the HDMI switch worked as expected with any of my devices except a Raspberry Pi.

This device worked well WITHOUT the USB power cable plugged in (bit weird), and when I plugged in the USB power it didn't appear to change anything so I left that unplugged. Used all functions for 2 months (including IR remote). Woke up today and unit was not outputting signal, so I checked the unit and all LEDs were off. Tried using the USB power cable again, but it does nothing. Dead. For short term use this device may suffice, but I wouldn't take the risk. Unfortunately I do not know a better alternative, will need to go searching.

OMG. For such a small devixe this little thing really packs a punch. Fressat and 4 consoles running throughs. Others i have brought in past have always had some lag or time delay but this is instant Great value.

Nifty little box happily connects my DVR, chromecast and nintendo switch to the single HDMI port on the aging TV. picture looks exactly the same as the bad old days of plugging in and out the HDMI cables, and it even auto-switches when only 1 device is on.Most minor grumble is the IR pod for the remote has fallen out from the jack once, when the cables took a slip... just bluetacked the thing down so it didn't slip off again.

Effective hdmi switch that auto senses equipment powered up so remote not used yet. Some gear can power the device via hdmi so external supply not always needed. Comfortably handles 1080p 60. Update, works with R.Pi 3 B plus.

Small easy to install, allows switching between a PS4 and retro console with a projector with only 1 HDMI ran in the wall. Needed one with remote and it works well

Picture on monitor was fizzing - red fuzzy now and then which was annoying then after 1 week it packed in and doesnt work at all now. Is great idea, but rubbish if it doesnt work

Usually very good, has a moment now and then when it doesn't feel like switching input when it should, but overall does what it says on the tin. The remote is rubbish, very small and only works from a Meyer or two away from the receiver half the time. But still a good value product
