A very efficient magnifying glass. Could be a little heavy for anyone elderly!

I got this for my dad who has recently been diagnosed with having a small cataract in one eye which is already affecting his reading, and he loves it!! It's changed how he reads, he's able to enjoy his reading and crossword puzzles again, the light is so bright and the magnification is huge, for my eyesight, the magnification is a little too large but for my dad it's perfect. It's very easy to hold, just like holding a traditional magnifying glass, the head is quite large so it magnifies a large area, it would have been brilliant if it had a stand or holder so you can be hands-free, but it works perfectly and more importantly it's now helped my dad find his love of reading and crosswords again. Brilliant product!!

Excellent gift

first impressions.It does magnify. Although, maybe 30x is too extreme(This makes for small view that needs careful placement , images distort rapidly towards the outside of the glass).The light does work.The unit is fairly weighty. For me that's not such a big issue. My 90 year old mum though, may make me regret giving this to her.The battery compartment is super difficult to open and close. Either there's a technique or it requires using the ultimate positioning. All I know is my mum won't stand a chance. Where I usually do not experience any issues changing batteries... this was a little difficult to open, and closing was an almighty struggle. I literally spent forever trying to close it and then suddenly, with little effort, it just popped shut???

Have used this type of magnifying glass in the past & was really happy to see this product available as I lost my last one. Well made from strong plastic & just over 3 inches in diameter this will magnify a large area when used. The Magnifier has 12 mini ultra-bright LED lights which light up the viewing area for better viewing. Run by 2 x AA batteries. This is a great tool for aging eyes & some of the very annoying small print used on items. Highly recommend.

Bought for mother in law to replace one she had. Does the job well and bought the orange one so it’s easier for her to see the bright colour when she puts it down somewhere as white is not easy for her to see.

I bought this for my wife who ,although her sight is not good, does "Dot to Dot " pictures for relaxation. The numbers are both small and feint. This lens is a great help, the lighting is very good and uniform and the magnification is more than adequate, It is , of necessity, rather heavy but she does not find this a problem.
